买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

: G6 b' ^- d) D- x9 K- {You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:
# f5 Z2 g( Y( j- z; @( f•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and+ u  E$ b3 V' k7 v1 a* [8 [0 z
•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).  ^1 B1 r! d: e! }
So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

1 ^' _$ A) E( f在税表的Schedule 1 - Line 369行填上5000,折合成tax credit =5000*15%=750. 就是把你的交税额减去$750.

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.

When more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
