Job Description:

/ i& z0 k& Z: i• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

; [0 X# e- l, N+ ?$ ?( _• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

  C' h" d: q% N) |+ g$ g" }' b3 D1 m• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

, Q% u- ^8 E& k7 G* w• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

% d+ E% |, g4 ?" L, W3 X• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

, i: j; [' V, i; b# I8 r. P% B• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

% u2 Q: ?) o) }1 e9 h0 [• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

. `& \3 @6 m) B% i/ c' `" u• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

% [( n: C; g( q0 [# u, l4 F' p• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

7 x# `1 r( F- h2 I/ d5 v2 x- E. V• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
) ~) ^+ C0 X" h( ~$ b
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

• Demonstrated investigative, problem solving, analysis and troubleshooting skills.

The Manager is looking for a contractor with the following skills:

5 D% J5 m- I) \$ ~& ~( O-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

* L: {/ ^8 N8 |% ?! `$ B*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.

: F8 u  @. \# aThe right fit for the team would be someone who enjoys hunting and fishing on the weekend. If the individual fits the manager will hire fulltime.
