9 D& z! L8 ], uJOB FUNCTIONS:

• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

1 N1 r# W4 [4 V; P6 _$ j' z• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

( K5 A6 K# ^. J0 i: `; q' P+ H• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

8 x% S# X6 G$ h* b• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

* c+ G* a# {( o1 l4 q6 A+ {) N( c$ c• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

' M8 {. }' q3 L, T4 u• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

% ?) W; j2 v+ \- I5 B• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

3 J2 k  V5 t8 q. q9 _-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.
