Job Description:         

JOB FUNCTIONS:

9 V$ q, b0 x' y% A# a' E+ I• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

: B6 o) r* C+ L; N( D• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

; x# ~$ A' `1 z+ N5 D9 ~• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

  E$ X; E& `9 ?) L8 S* [! r• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

6 M4 _) J9 D  d# R6 y& X3 g% K, ^! g• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
