9 n1 H" L9 }: ?5 F* f3 b1 ]1 k• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

" o2 m7 {7 X( Q• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

6 Y- K9 U3 L/ N' c1 e- a# D• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

7 o/ R9 [2 ~: M• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

8 J% R# S. M" u2 G/ z• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

# n) k0 `! {- |: u. E' [• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

" e7 {8 @  T+ ?- n• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

& H, |- k* E0 A  G2 P6 e• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

+ |# Q% Y; @, c( c/ z/ c• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

, L) }6 P6 ]4 e/ N. k! Y• Shift work, overtime, and 24 hour on-call support may be required on a regular rotational basis.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

( W5 ^6 _6 K2 b-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.
