information that will make your transition to the University community

If you are unfamiliar with campus you can visit

8 x! {$ N h4 e/ [$ J8 Wof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically 1 ~3 ]- F1 J( D5 _; b
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth
! M5 c' s2 o% M$ s Kof directional information.9 f7 o$ T% Q% x H0 \- m8 \
1 U! J$ l% O- E! FBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
/ D/ S4 @, M5 P& vactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend ) i* b0 |' Y8 f
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
, [! d4 X; A C4 x0 Hevening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in ) k! W! N, G0 q
Hawrelak Park.

, a. M, o, s% O; J3 iSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, % h, e# s* w! y' k; Q2 B
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
- P p4 @! B2 `7 D* F7 v& {% ?: c* t- lto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
/ O; N/ U( w2 e9 p. X* ~3 c: lyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
8 N; M5 N0 S$ N: m4 }& ` ^ a& U. FONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
2 ?: Q0 |/ W7 n8 f p5 kyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece ' J" `1 v: h0 M- ?
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
6 I3 J R9 e; CComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
: l; d+ I- M4 Q, c/ q4 f* iInformation and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and ( }- q u- i0 o# _; k
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
$ U8 o6 R* v* F. h2 m1 L# @two days of Orientation).
