information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,
6 g# `7 h5 e* hSeptember 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check
! ^" \# z5 z7 |1 lin location is T B 105 in the Henry Marshall Tory Building, which can
" \* i ^6 N- cbe found south of Saskatchewan Drive, west of HUB.

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

to find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
) B4 i2 I8 L, Wof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically * m4 t) x# [/ P/ _# ~5 }- r
look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth 0 t# P$ R" R6 S9 x
of directional information.

Both days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening * N9 P! ^! m, e
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
3 _. I, n9 \, R/ y5 M; q& xa variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday
* M8 j# |9 q! ievening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in
9 H; X" q- a6 E; n dHawrelak Park.

2 T7 J* a- }) t+ EYou will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
0 d% z$ Y( d7 lSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, - f$ _8 e3 c) W9 ]7 G+ B, \8 V( ?4 A
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

: C) {* M% U! |4 f% t0 [Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
6 R! D! i0 ?( j* `& E" qto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
$ Z' ~9 z4 s1 R. W) Iyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your 4 Q0 C" m7 C! K4 ?' V8 F
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 4 _1 o. F* d! _$ F4 X. r7 `" l
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
# k9 Y+ d8 D, N- oof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus 5 h) y q+ [1 k& Z
Computing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic J3 W. `* w$ H% W* _
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
3 p3 p, w. E' d! C0 H; i! cbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the 4 C5 P4 Q) y6 ^8 B
two days of Orientation).
