Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

Key Responsibilities:
: B7 B% L v0 ]+ C9 l7 [& s/ J- `
• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales.

• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.
3 _7 U& k1 l$ K9 T X) k
• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.% F0 f: a7 }' z3 v: v

D% A; z" F9 l9 u) T• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 

% B# C }0 u: f1 ]. U' T• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
2 O: I* c# D! I5 _% L& N
• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.
1 ]* h6 t# G+ g+ _
• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.7 j6 }9 x, w8 O

• Travel within the assigned region.

& J( J2 Z/ m$ @; O e• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
