' X0 F/ H+ A0 G7 g& PThere is something to do with the society where the kid grows up. In China, since the kid has a chance to go back to the other parent and grandparents on the other parent side and is 'educated' by relatives, other neighbours and so on, the kid might think a biological parent is more important and beloved than a step parent. But here in Canada, not many people surrounding the kid would like to say so and neither does the kid have much chance to stay with relatives.
