! L% T1 `! z9 X- W+ ]$ \Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks

-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
* C" |! p' J- @$ [! C% u8 H. j+ v) p-        Select type and size of pipe required
% X6 W' j% O5 N' t4 C+ V6 {-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
" V- N- w0 v4 m$ k$ ^-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
/ O0 P/ R2 }! \' L: A+ j, s-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
5 j, r% E3 z+ C% @5 ]-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

- W% L, c) j5 g" @% z/ J+ u-        Completion of secondary school
, M: [, F, f, R  z-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset

-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
