+ G& z! |8 M( E/ ALocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks

-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
; L- f6 T* ]; ]6 m; R-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
7 E' `. v9 B9 Q. Y) L, O-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
: S# ?' l& |1 p8 U0 B; j-        Select type and size of pipe required
; u$ ]- f( \. p# P4 }. b-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
1 k) S" T; V9 l. C: e4 F-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
* u3 c/ [% |) D' u-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
& J, ]7 a+ M) F-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
8 S0 R( ]! |" F) T, K-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset
