Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks; x- V: A8 Q. n* d& I) ?
8 b/ X: W& P$ F; _7 b! T- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
7 o# C( p- Q" O V- Y! p* a- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements+ M4 `" ?0 z9 L1 t2 N
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines5 N& L1 L% t( I! m2 F& i: Q
- Select type and size of pipe required
# Z9 |2 ]: u7 T3 j- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools, c8 m+ z7 L4 d, e3 P) _
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
3 r q+ p" ~' D" b* N- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems8 B7 e8 `& L$ u( q- Y& @0 f
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
- b1 P( H! j0 W7 Q: D* m5 s; i- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
z' h0 ^; G+ j) V1 n! n& y- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
3 z0 |2 L' n2 l! w- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program, z+ r* w1 e3 Z9 G
- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business* Y3 Y: S$ Y) f5 f" M! [& \8 z

Required Qualifications
9 V: [ A/ u) P1 B( c/ Y. y# `. j y9 {& z8 r: T
- Completion of secondary school
& e' \# e# z# Z$ x8 r- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation ( @. w* q' V6 Y
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals$ ? ^9 [3 V5 ?+ C; A% n; {
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence `$ x& {5 F( s, g4 H( r
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset

- Valid drivers’ license is an asset
