Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.


Responsibilities and Tasks
! s8 d1 w* x* j. X/ [3 M$ ]5 [
-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
( G( e8 U6 S; h-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
4 C' X$ `# Z* C; q-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
, V% J7 k: r( S% p2 r* E-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system

-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

-        Completion of secondary school
& p$ I1 S1 |4 s-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
; f& W# Z3 @/ W3 _1 I; D-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
/ ^% [; c0 E% Y) B-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
- Z- Q; |8 c. P6 G  I: h: e0 P-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
4 e* f- T: {2 _; v4 \) o, z; z& _-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset
