Responsibilities

: k5 W. G: e: b·         Engineering 480V to 38kV switchgear
7 O! t% v9 y: `8 i, v
$ M. S7 b  M1 d' k' e·         Engineering 2.4kV to 7.2kV Motor Control Centres including softstarters and autotransformer starters

·         Engineering fully integrated electrical buildings

3 B4 z( v% `$ w) Z/ [4 M! K# W/ T% E! u·         Reviewing vendor drawings
( w, a- X! P' o6 Q! [
* n# w" ]. K  q; {# b, R·         Analyze customer drawings, specification and engineering notes in order to create a design that meets the customer’s needs.

, l( L& k$ S9 v$ i4 F·         Create a scope of work by identifying the company’s agreed to obligation.

·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

8 L- H( A" q4 K/ c3 E9 O0 Z7 e·         Assist project management and estimation with draft budget changes, based on customer design/scope changes.

·         Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

·         Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

" q+ U9 ^* x  ]! `# S·         Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

$ R+ _& N2 O  q·         BSc in Electrical Engineering
5 `2 d/ k" O  b( |- V. Z" Z
·         Registered with APEGGA as an Engineer in Training

·         Attention to detail is a must

5 S1 u. x. i8 S: Q·         Experience using AutoCAD is an asset

·         Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset

( ~- R9 `* K# \( E2 D·         Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

; k9 b+ f! Y0 G( x·         Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

·         Strong written and oral communication skills.

Work Conditions

Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.
