K/ SPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
( F, K! K% P, q& {" k1 ]• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
. Q* X. O: c9 k" ~0 g$ r) }• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
. a" Q+ W+ \2 S• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
4 Y# U) f: |( e+ J- Q& \• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
+ P1 g% s; R5 n: D, g: \• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents7 q; C3 g; M7 _; \
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker/ ]( h9 y; U3 f! i$ K
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

+ g/ m, W, B% p! ^' G• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
7 H. A1 {2 n( F( o- y2 P' s- G5 I• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients5 }: c' o T! _$ ^; z9 b
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook7 s% L. e8 e+ A
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately U* i$ G/ _. V: S5 u7 D
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds' k7 b+ F; d" l+ W1 R9 L
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:. Q2 u( `% v' H* S2 H/ B
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
0 w T# n, C. ~) y* u• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment4 z# A+ @7 s5 g& _
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
* p" Z g: E# v& \' t5 F/ Y• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
