Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

7 v& M4 z% m( j! Z• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
# \9 |, a& s0 U2 B& ]• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
3 O* r: Q; @2 C• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately* R' V- j' W+ A; e% @$ P0 k
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
% H: n/ o9 H/ a% t• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents. Q5 e: }7 R8 V' J" H% l( k
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
/ y, A1 K- ^% m, l• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events1 |0 _ Y+ i4 I% ~6 h% g( J
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events. ]5 K! Z( l! Y8 O& h5 m; R. ]
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean& `0 \+ d- [! t9 i
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

5 z) ]" ~& t3 U9 Z- b' }- V' u• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
! \0 Z! Q1 v0 ~3 h: w• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
2 X: ]' _) V4 V• Good English writing and oral communication skills3 u! i4 n& K$ j$ f+ Q
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
- i1 c" m4 S! Y9 u: z# R• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism/ u/ x/ M) d' o
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision7 d" ~0 l! x. E/ y; T i, n2 N/ \4 U
