8 o* Y: |) y! u$ M' S, C( }8 RPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. % [6 Q; ~0 Y) h

Key Responsibilities:
& E* h. S' I) h0 n3 B• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person7 t9 [# E' @/ V( B' Z7 b4 S) z" w5 m
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
0 |: j6 n4 S! m• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
2 o2 Z2 a N: m7 W- a1 z4 Q• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter4 Q% N, b; [+ ?+ k
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents' q. b" x, |: r, l5 E* P
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
6 E" p, X$ M( W2 Z• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
/ E* i, R+ t* ^7 H. Z7 G• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:, u4 E- X* X) K% U7 \, t2 u
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
8 ?9 t. m/ d4 ~& {+ ^9 C$ l- ~) T% i• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset- Y1 L3 t- ?; L6 g" }
• Good English writing and oral communication skills+ y( R( \0 ?8 \
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients1 r+ G3 N7 q) O$ W; |6 H/ n* d
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook; l o6 w8 Y( v+ [: N$ H
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately " n$ i8 l" x% E; B
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
" i2 x; o3 O- T( p. @• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ( {/ k% K ^' p, h( h& Y3 w/ n
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
: W5 f: J) j5 t$ R; I( i• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism2 E, E" }: P0 L* d: C- L. |; t0 U
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
