Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
7 b% ^: S+ Y9 Y+ R f• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
0 @# T0 ^- F: O• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately4 S" k# V0 n2 z0 X
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter1 _+ a) u; G L- c
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents0 o, W9 g0 M$ ]) s/ o+ i5 y
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker0 D! R* a, b, {" x: a* T/ I
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events+ Z/ ]' x1 e8 \
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters0 Z4 T" P/ r* I- D! p" [$ I
• Maintain front counter service files2 |8 E9 N3 O8 s$ S
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
% }- P4 G i! {6 V" X• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset& H& @* ]4 L, Z. {; X- K8 D& h: m
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
; n! K$ `' q+ d* F• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
) w+ l( J$ X2 L• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook9 |6 ^/ ~( M, p8 ~2 H) i* T: R
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 4 s) o5 J2 y5 `; Y4 @4 Z, {$ I
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

7 h! M7 y7 M4 m2 u' ~• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience / D% p; E8 D7 Y+ _' F
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment2 O6 b2 X( m7 _: W
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
