Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

H4 [$ Z* i. ]: H1 o$ \) ]Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
& L/ x! O v" K, i4 A" B• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person7 d( ~& u" W% u: h
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST9 ]0 M3 p' K9 L% v% }, T
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
5 d3 ~# V# x [9 }/ c5 p• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
6 }, t1 `3 j. I& F4 {0 S• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
9 l. z, }: W7 d# O. g$ E& q$ i* _• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker, M1 L- ^' u4 `' l9 w6 n. @2 S
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events9 K* }% s4 w8 K1 E$ F" B' V
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events' `$ z4 O0 A/ c+ {$ h+ |
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
) [# J1 T, m7 n: K• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
; t+ {2 Z. k; P4 K, k& J• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
' r- D2 S" U e( l. Z• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person8 _6 j3 t5 G8 F7 ^
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset- p. K1 n) M% o* `
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
7 F9 ~; F6 _3 _8 u* |" Q6 `' n% j• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
8 A4 r$ B) c9 n& h6 N4 p: V• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment& `2 v8 r; W; ?3 e1 v
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism" T; h+ C! ^/ D
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
