- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers4 ]) L7 v( ?0 Z4 C9 \* }0 ~
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
9 P- D' [+ _1 |' B. s& a$ l4 E1 {- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties8 n) y( X; r7 Y+ M4 D% D) c9 d
- provide volunteers for various programs

- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation, h$ P. z( Q% z6 @* ~
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities" C9 ?/ N2 W0 l; c* h# A* a- ?
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services$ ]1 _) C2 k9 [: r: }) m! ~
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
9 U. z, G4 ?+ |3 b- j' T# x7 m$ U6 l- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
, A: H. i& @& C# u, {; r- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

7 Q; U( J6 |) H% j; q: b- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

: \3 E8 `" L9 D! ?- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
7 y8 C% {5 ]9 \. ~- O- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
/ ]$ a+ J0 i1 s- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications1 l: M, I8 Z, r: l
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
' S3 f2 [4 l {- O! L- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
- d9 o0 W. X6 C* d- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services# C- T" V7 A( b6 W2 o0 y
- leadership skills. M- J" _4 ]2 g
- management and supervision skills
