6 a9 H! d3 _6 N5 D- provide volunteers to update membership database
) ], F; V: b! S9 T) ?1 H8 \! A- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
" L' s* g( Q3 T4 N& Q/ U. k- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
1 Q2 g3 K5 I+ D) I; K0 m7 M8 [- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties, O5 S( l6 G& h* R
- provide volunteers for various programs 4 s: K$ j- P' E) O
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
! f5 E7 S6 y9 r R( F- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
2 c4 C4 y/ k2 J7 Y3 t- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
5 g9 C7 ?+ r( e7 s) z7 V- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services

- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed" ~8 u* J1 K' w: o* ~* }. F
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed

- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events # c" V4 q( K: O/ s8 M
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
9 I' w ~+ ?0 V3 y, Q1 m- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
% X/ X) E) q1 ^4 ^- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
8 \ e0 f5 E, S6 R$ D, _, v- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis 9 K& G$ t$ h/ m8 m* A% O5 n& F* C

) y* m$ g# @) J- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education# J) H( i2 n, J8 A3 T. ]: D
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills4 ?8 N4 M V2 I$ X; g. Z' ?5 G
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services$ u& N! b; O0 W
- leadership skills3 R- L4 ^5 S. h: B0 i \$ J
- management and supervision skills
