- provide volunteers to update membership database3 N, g- [/ E: q6 l r# P! _
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
$ D4 I$ r- ], C9 W8 _1 P; k- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
' ]0 E& X/ f) ?+ n* f1 @- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties

- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
7 S9 ~; r' {' V- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
. `0 c- k7 b; K& J1 O) T- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities b! Z7 A" E7 p4 n; O4 V" H
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services. g- ]9 j) ?. @; L8 h6 z
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports1 ~, r3 j6 p8 [% T, X
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed( I* D9 Z3 a) r* U2 Y" ^
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed" n5 \ L: C* l: V( D; R/ J
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)* K: m, `& q. N$ b
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events
- ~. h! b; C3 H2 o- e5 {* b- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
5 L; w! G2 j6 r4 U- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 0 h* s5 L+ u2 E7 j
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
% [( n9 g- B! h4 r3 x7 R1 ^5 a- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis $ r/ I: l7 w% A

Qualifications5 F& q: s! C" P5 E2 ]
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
8 T- i4 o+ M7 g! q- good oral and written Chinese and English skills4 E. n) R% K4 a1 ]. M) X2 W9 I
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
2 W$ G: w9 ?8 M; Y- leadership skills
( P( G9 G' Y2 y0 |" C* e3 w- management and supervision skills
; j/ m6 y/ c. x; P& m! P- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills( M" ~; b/ S4 r. o3 i6 j. J0 \
