Key Responsibilities

* {, ?* _8 T( a9 V4 r- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers" k1 T9 F- @; Z9 U/ G1 F
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties

- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services

- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed# L" }$ q$ Z% J5 e& @8 p

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)& b( V, T+ H: B9 ~9 ~ ~( X
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers 3 d2 E9 f. \3 s7 o0 z6 n
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers 1 W; c) r# ^6 m. ~: p$ A
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis % w4 b/ t% n5 e! `/ F& _. l
- evaluations D& v9 b1 V, D) l1 L& x e
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
& l- g- N2 Q1 l+ Q- good oral and written Chinese and English skills/ Y" d& D3 X+ x7 s$ }9 [
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
5 g- G7 w5 ]+ h- leadership skills6 e+ `$ @3 n3 r ]+ f* `, ?
- management and supervision skills
