Key Responsibilities
$ L( G& k! B/ q- }6 u$ n" N/ D- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
. j, v" \2 Z/ f+ V9 `! Z7 C3 y- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services7 n7 A# @: q. k+ e3 I5 {. \
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
0 p7 C+ Y4 L n- r' M- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies% l; T, m, m/ G2 g3 _" i! j: a
- coordinate good will activities
* N3 N) @3 i& t- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members7 I, J& f- n" h, T' b) X3 n2 i
- submit information for community news
4 d# t7 z6 ^8 y, o- prepare and send AGM information to members
! [4 Y/ R) |1 s0 p' T. I- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc., _% Y! ]( T- j( p8 X3 o
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities
! R. ]* t* \1 X$ b3 h$ R) g: T* `- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre3 G& I$ A2 l9 B, \* @
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
" N; m, a) Y6 A9 f( i- assist in writing proposal for ISP
9 K& p8 B, {& L5 g) Z9 O7 `- write quarterly and final reports for ISP2 A" D% F9 A3 P- T. k
- explore new ideas for ISP 1 z* @3 D9 T3 o' v, I O1 i
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
* v" x" i! t6 z& R% t; v0 w% H- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time1 m: e! u) d0 U' c6 g# _# D
- update membership database

- degree in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
, X q7 w' }( K9 B4 \6 U- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
; l, D8 f( B5 x6 ]: ]1 m7 a- l# L- experience in community work and immigrant services1 C9 d( l% h- A
- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars& E" c# h# V2 l; ?# r
- leadership skills2 ^' @- t+ ]7 }4 [/ P/ y
