Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. % P: @! b0 n- w/ ~0 {* R+ o

Key Responsibilities:
, h/ _! @2 Y0 b6 Y# ?• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person& \. ~$ j$ V) o& w3 R$ Q% j# |, ?
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST7 V) u, Y0 _8 r" T% E9 K3 X
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
4 N8 i: m; a6 a) P# b0 O• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
. ]* c& I+ M3 p( E0 j) s" b• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
: f' } ]; j4 x! o9 l0 [• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker8 @& k. Y {5 l0 a, V
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person! Y( p. Q/ P/ o; R \" W
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset- _7 [4 Y3 X0 z" H7 H
• Good English writing and oral communication skills7 E( Z* W1 R- S( V. W
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients5 t1 Y: F3 a, K
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook* j) G' j5 `" M e1 Q
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
z+ U, w8 A+ H; ?8 A. q) g• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ) w5 W ^# Q) F/ R: h
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment" F3 Q2 F" L. X; a% g$ d& K* c$ h
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
