Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ; z9 r( y6 L, ]# n

/ v( o# T/ G$ h' D4 j! G• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
$ r) I. ?4 J" t' o! q• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST# s; v) @* y! v1 v
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
9 J- g6 J7 `- r7 N6 A8 n• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
! j* P* A$ b* l# {4 `• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
2 w2 J5 |8 C9 s8 u• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ C- t! b" K: w j w, `• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events+ w8 j2 q/ B1 B9 s' J' ], W/ O
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events) p$ {5 B1 z+ K; e! o3 D
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean7 g/ P7 U T9 N; c3 M
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters/ L8 W" z0 G* A8 W+ O
• Maintain front counter service files

• Report to ISP Program Manager

3 E, Z9 l; B1 ?4 H• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
+ j* F: \% O7 p, i6 ^4 A$ g• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
* v& F# l1 e5 `. u' A1 w+ p• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook$ M) i; M, x/ r6 N& \; h9 V
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
) z2 R$ r5 S( p. g1 s3 U0 }• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds* ?4 O! j% s7 {, |7 z
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment; c/ d7 c% \8 M& X

Qualifications:7 a: `9 Y. a( Z* L4 g* x1 P! I
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
; O& P& O* ^; P2 w• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
( c7 i" ~) j3 [: J• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
