Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 5 t6 w# n7 {9 }9 U% ~) D

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person1 p1 p. }' p0 E4 Y* w, a$ ~3 S
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST2 P! X8 H( r5 g: ~/ ~' ?; ?
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
, [2 |( @* S, r7 x" L, g8 H• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter# a- |* n) S" I8 K* }( K% {7 L1 p
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
8 p( `: L+ B+ l+ [+ E• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
" V+ N& i7 d: [: n• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
$ p0 M" r8 ?& w( V• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
; M- ~3 d" e n1 j6 }" f) e x+ M' l/ W• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
" S: s$ Y) u1 y _• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters W9 m; G6 A# o: R0 Q. V
• Maintain front counter service files# z9 [$ F; m! z

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
, B2 I* b; T1 u9 ], a3 ^• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset1 e% B/ k9 A4 q1 @/ z
• Good English writing and oral communication skills& G7 p1 X8 c+ x M* D( C0 Y% j
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients' g! m/ H- y# H3 q g8 M/ @
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook1 \" [& ?6 u" k) k5 {5 _$ W
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
+ N n" Q9 A* ~6 g+ `• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services

Qualifications:6 m( j3 G3 u3 g/ C* z% ~* y" p. ^
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
+ L) E1 J- P/ R! C: G• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
7 P7 y! b7 d3 o- }/ X• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
7 f3 ?( L/ Y3 t, X+ K• Ability to work well under minimal supervision6 i5 \* C% T$ E0 N$ O: j
