Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. & e. e x( e* X; R. z, `

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
, {/ Z7 g/ ?7 f+ B. u) ]( p• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST3 h% |7 g( ], S9 y4 i. T2 p4 c
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately5 I ]1 \5 `& @) \7 g; {+ `
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter2 g U% `9 u% c6 n* c
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents/ @7 v6 P' q2 Y* Z
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
( E, v$ m- t! B& @• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events6 `/ s8 s1 |% A8 w% w2 `
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
$ f1 C E3 t' N @) Z% u1 H' @• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
6 S6 h/ X& _2 q9 s) P1 ]• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters( J- z. n9 i2 }5 U! f3 N: D
• Maintain front counter service files$ `0 B! x& n( ^- E4 m7 A
• Perform general office duties as assigned

5 i1 A) e F4 o9 i* EKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
* ~+ n8 j8 r+ f* y• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person4 {9 R: }2 C1 ~6 O5 g4 \, i* j, P
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
( J3 L' c! A, O! ~• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:* M. S# j! R# p$ d0 V5 `
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience - E3 l- ?0 L$ j5 Y$ l
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment7 p% S2 F( z1 d# e; T" H$ f
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
- O) y( Q0 N: }- u7 i, q• Ability to work well under minimal supervision1 ~9 @$ x* h) n; {! d3 X
