Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
2 b$ t& b n: S) k• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
$ v% y+ G! @3 P. c• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST! `# w! K9 ]$ Y1 }/ M/ {
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
" p8 }+ ` f" p h |+ A• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
. S9 o% d5 O$ A7 d6 _• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents$ L4 q/ ^/ ]- c: I4 w( x! r
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker/ F* k* n* T; f+ s( X
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
+ Q+ r& ~* o" ?- e0 `• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events# S) ]5 M# O: ~! T7 y y' R
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
- N& B1 v) a6 {- e) I8 H• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person5 Q: E1 y. P5 M' A- k) E8 B( P
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset, p* ]6 Z3 ]2 K0 C) d, n
• Good English writing and oral communication skills4 V+ u( a+ z5 ~# _
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
! A2 N! \: K3 X& g• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook: i* f9 k b7 e3 n
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Knowledge of immigrant services

* R: v8 |2 R/ ], K5 `1 a5 K. ~• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
/ C* C& h3 ^* b C: o• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
