Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, your duties will include, but not be limited to:
. B5 J; L5 X# ~9 c! U5 A! F•        Encourage and enhance a positive and professional working environment.- l& Z+ _. A% |6 b( J
•        Foster positive employee relations through effective interpersonal communication with all team members.( G$ i5 J5 N- H7 q: P, I
•        Support the introduction, training and participation in Human Resources related programs, including performance management, ethical conduct and career development.
' w8 o5 N, O! `# o" g' ?7 m5 V•        Promote management best practices and provide guidance on employment standards and employee relations issues.0 h: c2 [. ^4 w% O6 v. X8 v
•        Research, develop and implement recognition and retention strategies and initiatives.
. y+ {+ h' c1 J# S  |•        Participate in full cycle recruitment process to successfully attract candidates.
$ L) U, U6 |: y7 n( _5 Y& [•        Prepare required Human Resources reporting (including ad hoc reports, turnover statistics, organizational charts, employee updates, weekly recruiting reporting) as required., e5 P, q  S* W9 v2 J
•        Distribute pertinent information to the Payroll Department and Tracer's benefit providers.( S4 s0 }# d! B3 D$ i+ r8 I
•        Maintain personnel information for union and non-union employees in Tracer's Human Resources Information System (SAP).# `) r/ l, c3 F/ P
•        Coordinate the company group RRSP plan and employee stock purchase program.7 c/ P' |5 ^* Z6 ?# i& ?! i
•        Support the development and implementation of company forms, policies and procedures.
, U" E9 s$ i; [•        Attend and participate in departmental meetings.  R4 K) ]' g3 j2 ^' w- X5 t2 b
•        Assist with the formulation and implementation of internal training programs.

•        Additional special projects as required by the Human Resources Manager.  c8 u& H. n' E/ Y7 d* Q

Qualifications0 Z$ u2 C! N& B6 M( d0 Q
Requirements:
0 j& b- Z/ t6 F' L- o•        Applicants must possess a high level of integrity and professionalism, as well as strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
3 D% Y% T/ g0 @3 K•        The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a Human Resources Generalist position, as well as post-secondary education specializing in Human Resources. ; K' y3 p  x4 |! d9 m
•        Strong Union Relations experience required. * x. ]& d$ k1 E  }" B6 `( G
•        Proficiency in MS Office is required and SAP experience is considered an asset.* ^9 r- p; _# v3 h
•        CHRP Designation is an asset.
