Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

In general, key aspects of the role are:
-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new

! k4 f4 F( h! M. K( Q-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
9 U" y( y$ S' A' P) L-        Participate in peer reviews;
2 \6 G7 h- a( Z-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
-        Programming planned enhancements;
" C3 F* Q3 \/ l: r5 M5 P-        Testing system changes;
# h9 I: j! b+ I8 J-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
2 n0 E/ e9 |: w-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
7 }; ?' Q9 P, S( ~-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
& @$ p! ?2 v0 N* i-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;
9 I* n+ n& |5 w; ^-        Excellent written communication skills;
8 ~# K- N( U+ u1 H5 O. z3 ~-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure
effective delivery of service; and
/ l1 f, ?/ Z1 E0 l, x9 _4 {-        Understanding of project management.

A. Mandatory Requirements
(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

5 E# E  t9 K7 l! X; S; R- m6 i" H+ H- r(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

( ?- n/ U1 z) d(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
5 y- C% b' o/ A8 x" _6 p' {4 L(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
+ s$ y* q# [2 s7 z- Infragistics controls
- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
; ], m& V) H! T4 o- Nunit
- Crystal Reports
, Z1 A( ?9 l7 s  P/ m/ I- Pdflib
- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
6 z+ M2 F. `' ]; L. U- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
# R* e4 E8 \1 P" a+ J- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
