Shifts: 8am -5pm, with a one hour lunch break

•        Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
•        Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
•        Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
•        Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
" i4 ]7 }% p$ _6 ?•        Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
5 g/ {) n4 L  T3 d•        Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
•        File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
•        Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
% B: {4 Z7 ?6 w; S# l4 t•        Mix paint, blend and match colors
) l: A4 M- u0 P3 X- h( x: Z•        Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
& V3 F" V7 P! A5 x" `7 Z•        Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
•        Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
# u" Q8 J' l7 M; E•        Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
Education and Experience Requirements:
. h7 D! t* ~$ u, \1 Y7 j9 B•        Completion of secondary school is required
  n- |+ n. @& X) r6 A, j) l•        Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program
( U1 e' {% e# ]9 {% ~* s. Nor
9 Z) E. e' [# w# n7 [A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
# m! M* p4 |* W! M•        Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
