• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed% I: s1 ?$ D+ w6 X) i
• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components% e r0 x* t7 L: C/ }$ p
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers# @# p5 L5 _% C( \( J
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
+ E- H5 H4 {3 r, ?• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place+ `" Q$ e2 U* }( j% J, f5 J
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
4 s+ b3 p' o" e! J* {/ r• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools& |3 Y4 c8 S3 R6 d
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
* g) N+ B" O5 ]7 @% B6 S7 r- j• Mix paint, blend and match colors
( P: S+ [3 A' M• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns

Education and Experience Requirements:4 Q \- Z* v" l: V% N: ~
• Completion of secondary school is required! d2 F" ^; ?! O
• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program 4 x( V0 m# g7 F2 y4 {. W9 o5 F
or b/ j0 X9 w. P" }
A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade - v* L- t1 V' ?. t% ~
• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
