Job Title: Product Technology Manager, Lab Equipment         Date: October 13, 2011

Scope and Purpose of Job
/ w9 a+ A8 G# [  |* N0 C3 h8 N( XEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers.  Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
6 w; s$ Y' d% U4 K, l% r: OMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
$ I2 m" I( p% S3 x% l5 m•        Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
•        Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
9 L3 X  _& c5 y0 [4 m; V6 v* O& l•        Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
o        Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
$ g- l# ~* Q4 j) D; g9 ]7 k•        Assist where needed in application questions.
•        Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
o        New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
- k5 m& f% A4 ]' h& @4 {# Wo        Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed
  s* v( o5 ]6 p5 F/ U1 J+ R( e•        Track and report all warranty failures
4 L" m( t7 h* Q; T6 |o        Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.
; T: G; J1 Z  K% ^2 D! Q, go        Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
. S3 E  P) @* R8 H- @•        Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products.  In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
o        Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports
o        Assist in information gather for any new product idea.
o        Assist in writing and new product specification
o        Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.
o        Act as technical applications expert on development team.
•        Assist in Sales support & training.
$ o: [9 Z% a3 t3 Y•        Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person.  To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.
o        In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.

Educational / Professional Background        Technical School Graduate       
Professional Experience (Years and Field of Activity)       
9 A) @/ e( y7 W% H/ V5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers
List of Skills/Qualifications       
  B* V1 \* Y7 h2 N! R& _•        Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process.  Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
& N+ p: r5 B% D' e  e•        Background knowledge of dispensers and software
4 b2 G8 k) b$ Z* t6 U  \•        Proficient in software use and writing.
8 ^9 _* H* u; l. X( d- P* ?5 c•        Excellent communicator both verbally and in written reports.
( S! |' ^* C+ M+ _•        Ability to travel worldwide.
•        Speak Chinese & English very clearly.
