Scope and Purpose of Job
2 _4 W. r) }, g8 f- I2 T: S- UEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
( X, U+ w! D m2 {Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities
3 D- I2 {9 K& b- ]2 v8 ?• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
+ G& z7 [* f( t U! [/ W• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.1 f7 J9 ]! c7 r9 f9 p6 f0 ?
• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems
; j, q) M7 ] z: z! u+ G; b; {o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release
2 W" ~/ e$ E# i) W/ ^, A" ?• Assist where needed in application questions.3 k' p) N% i1 b0 ^# `
• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.7 k5 p" l5 w1 w1 P; o2 e' U
o New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures

• Track and report all warranty failures( U5 I# @% u) n9 ^0 N! S8 @5 Q: ~
o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.) w U! x% t- `/ {
o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.
3 Z- e% C G" ^; ?+ Z• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.
) s, H e: [. O8 {8 k7 [o Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports" v, A* X* m+ U. p7 q
o Assist in information gather for any new product idea./ g v+ J7 R: g+ B
o Assist in writing and new product specification

o Act as technical applications expert on development team.

R4 d. [3 C5 W" s# ?4 C• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.& K8 n8 W( ~5 b0 x

3 W8 b y( ?1 c% J4 \# d5+ years working as technical specialist for textile laboratory equipment. Expereince with textile laboratory dispensers0 Q5 n5 D% U, R% P' n! h, f6 w
List of Skills/Qualifications
5 {/ h' K5 [( s* N; I" G• Must have an extensive background in textile laboratory equipment uses and workflow process. Understanding of textile dyeing processes.
