Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. & W, F8 Q8 w+ i

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person9 m- o* x$ J% L* M# r# V; X+ B/ S' V
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST4 X- l4 r% R( [( ~) Q) F$ n
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
3 t7 Q5 j* x; w# @" G• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
' P2 y$ Z \8 G4 b1 r• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings: u, }; i/ e- K5 o7 e0 m2 z
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents, d# m1 ]) b8 f+ D2 K& L( v
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
0 }5 h" _0 g- s5 P* O* L* X E• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
' i; x- w, t" _. W$ w* I3 w R• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events+ k/ T% b: ]; u4 D
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
6 S: x, J. n, _. T' a• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters/ O& Q1 W! F. O# S7 h- B
• Maintain front counter service files
$ y& z' S9 y" _ X• Perform general office duties as assigned

+ e6 x; D* _3 LKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
7 E: M Y/ W4 _( b( i• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person& j% E% }0 B0 `) |
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
6 P4 N, w4 U5 k- |% o% ~7 b: A• Good English writing and oral communication skills$ p' r: B+ M6 T: r$ k% m
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients/ S! I- q, t' s2 Q9 w( I- p @
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook& i: R) \. }. j
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 8 u. [ B( S2 Q8 ~
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:$ H: }' F; e1 V1 Q7 ^% k* ^- h# X7 ^! ^
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience + n- `* ?( W4 m/ `' O- r9 h; \
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment, b' `+ Y$ x4 H/ t) _
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
o- @. P5 v$ X& H( r• Ability to work well under minimal supervision. i' m( O! |* ^. B
