Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker0 _) [& \9 R- W3 M4 g$ q
Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ; c9 R) A8 {4 {! w

- Z$ q3 Q- d+ J• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person$ Z% e0 @/ P% J. A
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
2 {/ v5 | X! e/ B/ ]• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
4 G* b" y, J4 i2 b: ^( K. }• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter$ A8 E( E' y$ J ]- {9 q$ o2 K
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
/ I% ]0 k. q" g8 a• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
+ ?6 J' o5 F( P2 Y$ A6 E; x% w• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events& y: |$ b6 o' F9 Q+ v% K( ~
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
$ V* n* o2 e, s; V1 Y# c0 q: E• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters2 }2 s0 B2 r) i+ L
• Maintain front counter service files% ]& m1 ], V' X2 A. F

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:8 t$ |* T f- A6 M7 m
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person5 ^. B0 J. B1 @* f% Y. O
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset! n# [) [! q( R) M3 e. d! V
• Good English writing and oral communication skills

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook/ @% `/ n: K0 A* H$ f8 E
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately % E& l5 c+ G8 R8 v \* k
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:$ W1 b6 C- H& l( K o- D
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 2 a$ ?& c9 V {) x4 t
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision: m. ?/ a2 S# B }
