Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. & {0 }- Y1 V- @' a m5 Y' z

Key Responsibilities:
, \- K4 o4 k8 u' ]: a- i8 W% x4 O• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person' B( g3 c3 i& i4 p. Z, R
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST6 p/ x7 e+ }: [$ S
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 T* x: w( X! A. [+ y s
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter K! d/ H( ~% m W2 M; _% W
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings' l. K0 p% T/ c& o( M/ S0 j
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
, I! q4 I2 y$ N• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker; ~- C* u, y3 _) l9 P
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
! L4 v( r C( f4 }+ L• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
& G4 L/ }7 U" z+ H# x) k! M5 A) d• Keep the reception area tidy and clean. K. B* r; i- L# F
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
! f% y- e8 i# i• Maintain front counter service files, v3 o Z6 i; v* a7 C6 k* s* p
• Perform general office duties as assigned& i/ V. r, A! Z' T3 E
• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
9 l# W. q$ f* t% f+ }: U• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person. n9 b5 K. G R8 A: i& ~- \
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
& u. ~+ T, A& L4 i2 d• Good English writing and oral communication skills" ?4 J" L1 c9 M/ |
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
/ ?& P# ~0 d* l: u& D u6 H$ T% T• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:$ ]' n! k. X2 p) @" O& d
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ! X1 z6 Z, ?' V9 q; c$ z. y
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment

• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
