Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person6 Z0 |, R! L4 |; r( G
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
6 P @+ Q# ^ V, Z" O! Y• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately7 V7 x) X! s7 @* I8 g- B& m. }
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
( |$ P @3 C9 v" c( h• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
% b4 V: ?7 r9 O4 ^• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
* z% g, e! C4 _1 R( C9 R• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker$ u! j- Q! C" }& B6 a& L+ y
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
. \* ~& E9 @( G# n5 T Z, {• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Report to ISP Program Manager

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person# b' x/ C. w1 N: I0 ~4 A
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients2 l5 ^8 c6 H" Q0 y
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
$ G" a5 V3 \& D4 f- j• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately - c: q9 P+ q3 j" y- U( m
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds+ S ~; ]4 N W- X4 n2 Z$ C
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment) e. Y0 h# n0 S3 ]0 y& m
• Knowledge of immigrant services. F6 u( D4 X: Z' H
Qualifications:
& [, T" E& u6 p# t' d• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience + L6 E: m: k( m+ V0 c
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
! E0 h& @# J8 n4 G) [+ k• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
" V( p6 s" w& p x2 @- w7 s• Ability to work well under minimal supervision& s& Q& M2 ^! q9 V7 D: h
) S' K6 Y+ B: v( c
