Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. & E$ d# T+ h( L
" Y$ P" Z4 c# x4 N1 \Key Responsibilities:9 h5 X e5 z# Q" x; P
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
+ N) o0 R6 P4 M( F• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
4 X8 x3 U# ^- H: S6 g `• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
' s& n2 W3 F4 i+ r* G) l• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
1 {1 l4 p2 S) |" b9 e* z! T• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
. y: M5 s3 l- m' D# T! m) [: q, Z• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
+ r, r! w4 k" i• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
" q' l; I7 K5 C6 i1 K• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
% G$ W# a: M. J5 |1 j/ e/ U9 A• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events" y& v/ L9 ?* d+ d* k# i
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
5 }( M7 X0 e P( N% [9 ]3 M• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
# U1 b, _) A( E6 D$ p# ]• Maintain front counter service files9 R D8 I2 h2 c I$ o* I, `9 Z) o
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
) X" i- _: A f$ n$ \3 u, b• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person2 P0 P$ l7 L4 f, D2 M6 p
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
3 o+ G$ u* B' T# G5 [* ]* L• Good English writing and oral communication skills
2 m1 w1 ^8 S, P7 V1 J3 h2 n% B• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
# j! v5 h z: `( I% d @" ~: {• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:
- }5 h" V7 B3 t• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience % Y0 X4 d! [5 F3 R- N" F
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment) d% M. L" N3 r6 |5 W
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism" K$ `4 N1 @: X1 ]/ e
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision( C' I( \. G/ j2 A) y
