: E) V, I# l0 `1 A( IAdvocate Non-Violence. YOUCAN has served youth in the Edmonton area for the past
nine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to
% N" m5 Q$ R& E, x& b- ]1 j1 Upeacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.
% U3 b& ~* g9 o) MThe YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded

project that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased
2 q& v/ p+ K( Y) u4 O; K" G3 [employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
The goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
( l+ x0 z, v* D1 R: c9 {, }the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
, P" C# Y7 b0 j$ L- ~9 x  o4 mparticipants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
/ }+ t$ I3 u8 `) E. n# u6 E* ?/ N/ Zpersonal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
3 t& A+ ^/ g' t' i1 oAdditionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
follow-up once the program is completed.

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the
YOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
