T.A.N.G. Youth Program is an educational and activity-based program aiming to equip

opportunities, leadership training, as well as educational sessions on 6 X9 Q6 `; u5 ?2 p. H; o, K' h
interpersonal skills, anger management, personal development,

Each session presents concepts through interactive activities that encourage active discussion and participation.

* ? c6 ^6 I1 t. p8 i, A! JRegular Spring and Fall Group Sessions: runs on alternate Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m.
! H) K0 R' h1 jSummer Group Sessions: 2 consecutive weeks in July from 9 to 5 p.m. daily$ V. C1 a4 W7 q9 G0 V
2 consecutive weeks in August from 9 to 5 p.m. daily

. [! K2 z9 \0 O" b% T3 @' l2 F& R' [Asian youth aged 11 to 15, who are new immigrants or locally born Asian living in Edmonton or surrounding area.9 a+ _; i. ]) \3 u9 @& |1 D% s
! D A5 }8 c7 ]4 w CWhat is the cost of joining the T.A.N.G. program?3 \2 z; t ]3 |: z
It is FREE and space is limited to 15 to 20 participants per group.* o9 \7 T: o0 f0 a9 o( _: ]- V

/ k2 Y2 ]" S" ]3 Q7 m% s, w+ b1 Q* L3 X: F% V
 Distribute promotional flyers to schools, churches, communities and social services agencies
+ P$ u+ A0 r* y' d+ w1 f! l Facilitate and/or coordinate activity-based function such as to host a gym day or sport tournaments or workshop on personal growth development * p* H) E1 q3 F- N1 m) Z/ |
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breakers and/or other activities
. T/ f) B d' m8 L: A7 P; K% J Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
; W( t7 U9 D. A% { Research activities related to the sessions’ topic

 Assist in program planning

 On-going volunteers (we have volunteers dedicated themselves to the program for almost 4 years)
4 [& B5 o [3 Q! K6 Y9 }9 o4 v1 b- e One time volunteers: minimum commitment is one seasonal session, i.e. 8 – 10 sessions in Spring, Fall or Summer& Q" _3 u- N+ i0 d, F: X* }9 k
