T.A.N.G. Youth Program is an educational and activity-based program aiming to equip 3 T/ A+ S+ Q4 B+ h- x

opportunities, leadership training, as well as educational sessions on $ i5 O2 h' z" q0 o+ T
interpersonal skills, anger management, personal development,

Each session presents concepts through interactive activities that encourage active discussion and participation.& \4 `% u4 k+ P" c5 Y' x

 Explore personal interests in arts and recreation8 T7 G/ z( O! g3 m

Regular Spring and Fall Group Sessions: runs on alternate Saturday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m.
, s6 C* K! Z7 HSummer Group Sessions: 2 consecutive weeks in July from 9 to 5 p.m. daily
* f6 D, {* S: Z/ o4 L% E/ S 2 consecutive weeks in August from 9 to 5 p.m. daily4 U3 u5 I$ |. i% Y. J R* }0 c: H

; D3 i5 h& x- k J0 @1 K+ QAsian youth aged 11 to 15, who are new immigrants or locally born Asian living in Edmonton or surrounding area.* `) n8 v4 s( u8 S5 D

What is the cost of joining the T.A.N.G. program?
5 f$ i( f+ O: A! r8 \- VIt is FREE and space is limited to 15 to 20 participants per group.* l3 I6 _0 W6 {: i( i& i! ]

Volunteer’s Duties:
0 Q. ]8 ]. f" {1 ^7 Q+ S4 _0 c& o' Y6 z: ?2 C5 J6 a+ h% N& Z
 Distribute promotional flyers to schools, churches, communities and social services agencies " @2 R/ O. A, y: q
 Facilitate and/or coordinate activity-based function such as to host a gym day or sport tournaments or workshop on personal growth development S- C3 U N7 O, _. O. J2 a2 S% u+ z
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breakers and/or other activities( i( `' _5 }: x# ?/ `0 Q7 O3 @2 I3 E4 Q
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions! B6 Z0 P: J+ Z8 C9 l
 Research activities related to the sessions’ topic, Y/ z' M6 H, P: J6 k8 D+ [
 Enforce safety rules during program sessions and fieldtrips

 Be a role model8 y: U, I& |) s9 k F# f

7 C' i3 @: |8 r5 N On-going volunteers (we have volunteers dedicated themselves to the program for almost 4 years)
+ i& Q, G. r9 ^; u( c One time volunteers: minimum commitment is one seasonal session, i.e. 8 – 10 sessions in Spring, Fall or Summer
