Position:        Youth Leader
Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
! K  r+ ^8 ^* h' ^0 FCamp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
* e3 ^5 n& O* V2 U6 T  c2 b$ q*might work in other time in some specific days
- \) O3 ?/ [- H. P. M# B) ?. [Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Program Coordinator:        Daniel SUEN


Duties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:
% l5 I: q: i6 V% N* C
 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
 Take attendance if available
- Z5 s# U) o, k# H3 C1 z Provide positive modelling to youth
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
! F1 r! _0 C: V* K0 B% U) u3 M# c% G' \ Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
 Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
4 z3 y1 q) A3 `7 q& } Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
 Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
) z9 h  @" J/ O/ a Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
 Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
. S8 L- E( z: K2 w Assist in program planning/design
+ K  T# h$ P8 B$ [- o2 h Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

/ i, B) e% F( e) s) \- C Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
. J7 t: D: r% D+ B2 {$ R1 e Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
- X+ I, M" M) b. V$ q% o A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
 Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
 Able to work independently with minimum supervision
8 _" v/ Y3 }' j Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
3 _. \2 b9 k, A6 W0 l Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
