Position:        Youth Leader
Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)

; e) B3 X  d* X; D0 e, \Duties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

  g/ e+ }# x5 ~3 x5 o. l" f2 Y Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
% G' T* g  w! b6 q8 [. |: F7 J Take attendance if available
. S2 e- Q& v# w* c: R7 h' r Provide positive modelling to youth
- K* r0 d4 L1 \1 R' R" M7 d Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
 Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
 Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
7 V) b3 }9 r7 Q$ q" E Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
 Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
3 a# F# m" j. b$ H Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
 Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

 Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
 Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
 Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
 Able to work independently with minimum supervision
 Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
7 S5 G& w' ]/ Y& D  w Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
! X. [( O7 t# {' @  l+ S. M! S# s0 N Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
