Position:        Youth Leader
$ z  _$ M0 u; k( p' qDuration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
, j9 ^" G7 e& Z. _. H; lCamp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
, q/ {+ \! ^. E  o8 }! e: R" [Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Program Coordinator:        Daniel SUEN


Duties:
% Q1 u8 x7 j. S: N- Q! DTo assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

 Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
 Take attendance if available
 Provide positive modelling to youth
; }* Q- j8 Y' y# ^5 w2 ?5 ] Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
# f* s2 e0 k* {! t3 l Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
  J5 k/ X% w) B( q. E Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
; k) W, C0 V5 ~3 V! a2 ~ Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
7 ?- M3 F' q3 N2 v) U8 M. [ Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
 Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
 Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
/ m  v3 I3 n; ^) Q* H2 n' L& t) T Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

+ P* |& u. @7 t1 x% c8 ^* K Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
" }5 W8 u# ^  Y Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
! J# q5 E6 h% ?- S" p& n A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
5 n. L. N' a0 C5 g* s7 D5 R$ ? Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
/ X! I: u' ^1 W' p Able to work independently with minimum supervision
$ C- l- k* x' d4 j- E9 ^* d% I Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
3 p0 l& ^4 d; [  o5 P" b+ J Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
