Position:        Youth Leader
4 v8 P! W# u- J' [) M+ \Duration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
9 l$ }6 F2 u' R: O! Q4 F" v% MTime:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
* }$ r2 y/ g  R; Y1 H7 x*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

! m* A' m% N0 \  c8 gDuties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:
7 g' `$ B" M3 v+ g  o, M1 r2 S
: L# w2 e2 q+ w! @2 e6 G9 N- o Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
 Take attendance if available
4 c5 g* W; n  y9 E Provide positive modelling to youth
' u  }; P* `# u2 T/ J' W7 M8 c9 n% u Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
 Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
+ b: a' ^8 f$ q  t! Y# v& J' v% N4 v- H Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
) H% Z( p: Y) S/ L Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
. z! }3 Z; i5 ~0 T. m Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
 Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
 Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
; |. V: z1 i  @/ `! ~1 p: g Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
 Assist in program planning/design
 Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

2 I- i/ t! V+ Z Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
# v* V7 _6 j' e6 C9 i Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
% g1 x9 l  O( \% P! T. H5 q A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
 Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
: X! ^' q& i0 S Able to work independently with minimum supervision
8 R% I/ l' l$ n3 d Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
 Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
9 b" j& f6 `6 I3 C9 ~ Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
