1. It's cool:cool
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
; d& N; E+ a& U! d5 L+ ^/ u# Q& D2 U4 j" F* H) B) I
That's cool;he is cool;this is cool., a! r, {3 t- c( D) q( K

4 N+ s# m, Q7 \
4 Z. K2 N) C% Q% p 主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
8 @4 O, R9 U& i, w- ^ r0 G( X" l2 m* f1 x; N) a8 Z6 k6 Q
She (He) was cool in the past.
* h3 t4 h% t. F' H) f: L- Y* g+ d7 x* o( P. }9 }4 A
That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫): J h$ M ? I$ C

He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人). |! t+ D* v( q5 F: W. g7 Q
' A0 o, U" T% `, }# V
但是如果说:Are you cool?
, R/ m! z! a. ?; x! U8 _8 t+ | She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not

2. Are you trippin'?:trippin' 这个字,是由动词 trip 演变而来。 这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
. {' M2 @4 R7 G& `
They are trippin'. (= tripping)

: K: Z: c _3 B2 f 3. He is a nerd:nerd (A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) (IQ = Intelligence Quotient ; EQ = Emotional Quotient) nerd 可用复数,动词也能用其他时态。
9 P4 x! n Z+ p; K4 w4 n/ y9 Q
0 M) B" W# z$ ?$ w4 Z u. r He used to be a nerd in high school.

Many Chinese students are(或 have been)considered nerds.
# o e& x6 E7 Q) ^: C
8 s% J8 F5 q& [' J( v A3 Z E; k
; w3 z; d! X7 |. b' W2 q He is a computer geek.

% ?) }8 Q$ J H; {8 T' W0 R ~% Q% `) K6 V0 \
I don't like him because he is a jerk.

(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:' o: Y2 a4 g( \2 \
- k) P' }) l/ U Yo baby, are you trippin'?
" T% p: ~' @$ d0 t8 |7 i) A2 y. g4 m( R8 W9 t2 g

May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.& a' D. N6 T' j/ z2 h5 H7 Q6 |
) h7 c1 x& o2 Z' m# {' }
诸如:, o4 I/ [0 o3 _( G6 j ]
/ [4 p. R; K- c$ ~7 l Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
& B U' ?6 u" U) w1 R
6 `) B% [9 A, Y- f0 h 5. Catch you later! (a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
