1. It's cool.+ e8 T+ h1 P0 D, R& w/ S/ o; U

(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
' w" ]7 n4 d5 @* k" p1 z) e- W    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
+ |3 U6 B: @9 S* s- c    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)( R5 h+ _4 ~$ N$ s

9 K- i: }3 R3 A* D0 x8 Z主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
    She (He) was cool in the past. 9 @/ x+ [  _' Q
    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)
$ b9 g* c& P4 N  x4 a- F6 s    He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
( v3 l4 I9 y7 I( K9 e+ P
; z% k2 }  ^6 ]0 r但是如果说:Are you cool?
    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not , p1 `5 F  q  [$ [: T" d) ^
    emotional.
/ \6 e7 m2 d  V( ]    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) * R1 ^9 n: X  u* ^

" r2 w+ F. p5 k2. Are you trippin'?6 G/ Z  N; I8 I& \& B

这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?) 所以可以说: $ W* K  W; m2 H. m/ b
    They are trippin'. (= tripping)
  w& `3 N" K( \/ W7 D( z    She (he) is trippin'. $ D- B# F5 G+ o6 M$ A7 l! X
Mr. A must be trippin'.
2 O; H) p! S!
- o9 s" w- ?" j- g$ @2 z1 \
$ ~8 u% o/ K: K% c3. He is a nerd8 e& N, h& }4 C; G" R) y9 I; a0 V
* c5 r+ e- E5 b% [) Q
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
    He used to be a nerd in high school 9 p" R- Q- L% K% j0 ]

& Y$ D1 _8 y: T4. Yo baby. ~3 j3 ?9 \1 ?$ @1 I! S) o, o2 V

(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: / E& b: @( k* A) O/ |- @: Q
    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
  h: x& s1 b8 K0 QMay I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. 4 S' c; ]7 w! g, h# T( z/ T
诸如: . w5 ~, ?$ @- T5 a( w- |
    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?) 2 l+ P% m" v7 K1 J5 p: P* Z

' r& S9 J" L+ W4 a5. She is a ho! S, g$ l  y. d- B6 B; X+ B  S
4 a1 w! B. q4 w& V, G1 P) @
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。 ho 也可用复数: # X/ U( F- f9 e% y2 g9 _4 N
    They are (were) hos. $ n0 r2 I; k) l! m8 W% X
    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.)
+ `  l9 v* _: g- I) q
- X  C9 ]  K0 ]' k5 {* ^6. Catch you later!
9 h; [8 h7 h$ L, c! m* H* l
* I- g+ Y( A' ^+ E3 _3 U9 I这是年轻人说「再会」的口语。(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) 因此,catch 就是 talk 或 contact 的意思。catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
  e# ]- ]6 Y6 x有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again. + n9 c. S9 S( j7 z
