Job Description
: C5 b: h4 G& c. |' k# O- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information# s2 i R# e [, g9 J; q
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.# |0 F9 b3 r$ _
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
. j# |' f |! i& `# s- provide support to ISP staff
4 z9 T+ ]7 l: _9 |3 S* h0 D- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
! L q/ N' Y4 O0 J- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
7 M9 |7 i( \4 e H4 h6 a2 ?: J- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated2 P7 A7 v' M2 W: _3 d* C! d
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
+ H/ k- p) I: b1 l1 x- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
: R& B& d) T1 [2 h' ^ ~- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder+ I4 F- Y( C1 q3 S! v! S' I, A
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
* O6 |1 N, K1 ?2 N& E- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities0 Y% y1 B; l' `5 n7 c
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications' l# D0 R$ r+ g. u# ~3 b
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered! B" a* _9 {: ?) |3 O
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available: b7 B5 G( }3 Q3 s
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers4 U5 q; y4 t+ E9 t) \2 Q, A$ o K
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software) [( f, Y( E- T X/ P) E; C
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)

- good organizational and coordination skills

Salary
