- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information {6 U8 m$ }" U% L7 |5 z' J
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc./ j- m1 P6 J t% ~+ n
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
7 J7 x- n% B! b J, g- provide support to ISP staff
7 Z% q2 Z7 y, A- f0 Z- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
6 X6 F- Y9 ^) |7 M A. }* n/ T- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
% m5 m1 N% m3 Q8 T1 i. Z* R" l- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
: m" T0 v4 f) f! [# ^$ H% z! Q- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants9 p6 {+ @. Y6 j( [9 V
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
% q8 o8 X5 K( N- I$ r7 L- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder, `- A' X3 V6 K3 M9 t- H
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
; I! Z; [9 V' y0 o# K- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities! J) h' r: ^" m0 N, J
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned, T5 ^& @! F% B/ V+ ~( h& {

Qualifications
/ B6 X3 e9 t" b% n) a. F- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
3 ~# b& \! J8 a! e! m- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available3 }$ x$ z s" Y8 z: O! S2 Z7 _
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
4 }8 t9 L% K/ N+ z8 {2 E- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software7 f: _! U! }8 z, }" [
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)* ? r1 N' s5 Y) Y( Y
- good interpersonal and people skills# V# K! |# g" R6 W" U$ @6 q
- good organizational and coordination skills4 x3 @9 B7 W, |( s
- valid driver’s license
