Employment Developer

Resource Room Advisor/Resume Writer

! ?* f+ h9 y" n* [5 N3 _ Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.
) [: b  p. O2 E- {' Q" Q* I1 |: { Provide information regarding job search strategies and labour market information.
" i1 x9 t: ]8 V* H8 M9 r4 K Assist clients with resume and cover letter development, effective job search techniques, interview skills, and accessing the hidden job market after workshop completion.
6 m" t$ e' ?$ |% Z/ Z Maintain all resources in the Resource Room insuring that they are current and relevant.

 Encourage independence and self determination in newcomers
5 Y  C) F$ [! B1 e, s! h- t Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.
$ _& b4 J" I& A& `9 e4 q Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.. E1 m* i2 R; n; ^4 m) T6 ]5 H, ^
 Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.3 G) x6 d0 a# h9 R

 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.) p( K  ]* F) _
 Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.

Service Manager

4 e, @! q/ R" H* p. D. r Ensure that participants have access to the required supports to successfully complete their Service Plan
$ X8 }8 s& @- _. H4 C+ B0 \: u" U3 k' w Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment

 Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion6 I7 C  C8 Y$ q3 F! t
 Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator
