 Continuously interact with all clients in the Resource Area to ensure that their job search requirements are being met.

 Update and maintain job boards.

Settlement Counsellor
* G/ N% s  `5 z, u Engage with and build a professional trusting relationship with newcomers, treating them with dignity and in line with the values of the Bredin Institute.

 Promote Bredin Institute’s mission, vision, values and strategic objectives.

 Work with newcomers in assessing their needs and a needs-based settlement plan.5 w' t' [0 Q4 ~) y( x; K8 h
 Liaise effectively with a range of service providers, both voluntary and statutory, in order to ensure services are available to newcomers.
! H5 R! S  A. ]  G Accompany newcomers to other agencies and to act as advocate as necessary.

Assessment Officer
+ J9 N1 J0 }$ O6 h, q Responsible for intake, orientation and completion of workability assessments.

 Screen and assess clients’ skills and abilities through a workability assessment.
: F2 g+ S. H, j' T3 {4 }) W3 O) p Determination of which stream of services most appropriate for the client.
/ [  x7 h" i  y3 c$ s, Z Provide referral information on other services that may be more suitable for the client.% _. c+ t4 L7 j% P
 Cooperatively with the client, develop an individualized service plan., h" u# s0 h  ^% ^4 h
 Create and update clients files on Mobius computer system

' O/ U* r& \/ C Assist clients in maintaining a job or in identifying barriers/issues that keep clients from obtaining/maintaining employment

 Develop and maintain knowledge of current programs and services available for participants9 }2 O3 F% S  y9 Q
 Complete participant reviews with the participants3 O5 g/ P) \, S4 i% c
 Complete 90 and 180 day follow up with client after training completion0 w! o5 i$ k$ V; ^4 k0 [  l
 Perform other duties as assigned by manager/coordinator
