Responsibilities
 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
( c" u1 I. L* J Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
4 X$ D  M8 Q3 T. \6 Q. \ Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
- f" R/ f. l. Q5 g9 J& r Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

 Social work degree or diploma
9 m7 L0 C9 V2 n: D Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
- G2 x" m4 w, t8 d* P2 U0 a; ] Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
/ z* J! g7 Q  X0 P- _" O4 _2 G Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
' y3 ?' J7 Y5 |, ` Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
