 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
( g& {( q& {! W9 a' K! d3 m Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
; v) ]6 x- c! H Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
9 W* t  Z5 c8 G& ? Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
0 j/ @! y! M' v8 r5 H' D0 K Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
4 Q9 A0 m* J1 U5 h% G# d Social work degree or diploma
" z* f8 p, K9 T& L# I5 \3 h Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
* \# C# u0 r- } Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
2 A1 K4 e, o4 O0 f8 c& P5 Z Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
6 r9 H3 \* v1 q. z0 L% d Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
