Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
; @) v+ @6 E) `* oObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
' N# n* `: f: I( p, t! UEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound9 Q, G: W' m& P t2 L/ ]+ n
Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
% F+ e% z. w% ~( c! C( ^+ T- [% iOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

Qualifications
/ _2 e K1 b+ m' FValid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years./ ~0 g( |- g) @, b
High School diploma; previous driving experience required7 ^- w3 e7 V* L0 ]5 N' Y; e$ G2 N
Current certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
0 r; G8 e! \8 iTraining related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
