  Duties
4 I$ k8 T) `' C4 ~Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
  j0 y# j5 J" L- t. pProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
; V2 N/ _7 @& r, Z- g/ bPerforms related tasks as needed
Qualifications
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
+ }* R% O9 S6 l: h7 H0 o! E8 vDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
: K, Q6 k  G$ u/ v  nKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
  n# d8 C' J- W! X; L# _" GFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
9 q' I' U% ~7 r+ Q, g, U1 `5 qRelevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
- t- Z" R& n8 jAbility to adapt in a high technology research environment
Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail
