0 `4 Q( w( Q' Y0 H" iAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
Performs related tasks as needed
Qualifications
6 [7 F! |+ n2 [2 S4 d& ?; nDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
* r) n$ e1 Z, A' ?8 w: ]Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
. e' k: S- m# z6 k. }( X, \3 r' M: NKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
/ u8 N( [6 `* V: TFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
( S, |! |6 L- M( T/ g/ j5 k; LAbility to adapt in a high technology research environment
% c# a8 K. B; A# u; v" RExcellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail
