Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
/ f$ I4 u0 C- S8 s/ u7 MProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed
, D; m( o0 n3 T, s1 z3 UPerforms related tasks as needed
Qualifications
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
9 L: @! G$ w1 c- S9 y; h6 \Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
. b3 r& L5 m/ a5 B! ~/ Q2 L& w2 oFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages

. O" b+ W3 ?: s1 y* c4 AExcellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills; accuracy and attention to detail
