Key Responsibilities & Duties:
7 |' t0 x1 z! o( \! Q
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
0 ~* M+ C6 z  z3 q: q' T% P' T( x Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
8 C4 y8 j5 {& } Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
/ Q# b( p# A4 v% S5 |- }$ g$ d Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
( i7 W6 A' j2 U2 m2 f/ @: L Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
% N6 y; X) ~+ V  R" h+ j, x+ Q
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
: I; T# z: i3 e Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
