Key Responsibilities & Duties:

' y1 f  e  {" K$ }9 I* q Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
) j8 a- G  ]9 Z: h& b( d. k Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
" K  I: M. R) o3 `& f Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
" P5 t) `$ z4 d! @+ u, o Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

+ W  n1 u" H3 E3 R- x. L8 v0 S
Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
) P' q$ n: M/ ] Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
9 _* t8 A# o- N& P$ I/ ? Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
3 s$ [. D6 U: U6 u& S' F Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

5 ]8 ]( Q4 f5 a$ i4 M$ _This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
, z3 J4 _2 k2 \/ j3 Z! d* \There is a 3-month probationary period.
