Key Responsibilities & Duties:& ~5 M( I" ^2 n. S, I
' y1 f e {" K$ }9 I* q Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
) j8 a- G ]9 Z: h& b( d. k Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.6 }4 w" q6 N. i, r, v( v
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.$ X2 k+ a4 v* c; \
 Completing required paperwork.3 `% p E% `. o/ g0 I( W
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.6 D( r" Z8 P9 y/ c% l# A
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
" K I: M. R) o3 `& f Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. 1 W* T0 X* `7 _2 d' I0 ^$ v( ~4 v
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
" P5 t) `$ z4 d! @+ u, o Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.! y& {9 Q( E% V( S- R" s
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.3 [' H5 _& J5 o3 p- A, e
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications: u) x/ o( p& G" d' I/ b% W. x; @0 H: D

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.0 @' [$ P9 ]7 }! B( P2 W
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
) P' q$ n: M/ ] Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.; S& N& i Z& C0 V% k( y- y4 f
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.) @9 x/ D0 w4 i$ }
 Knowledge of community resources.
9 _* t8 A# o- N& P$ I/ ? Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
3 s$ [. D6 U: U6 u& S' F Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 7 b* t* T2 q: ^

5 ]8 ]( Q4 f5 a$ i4 M$ _This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
