Key Responsibilities & Duties:

" Y" Z9 F' Q0 a+ ? Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
' r9 l* k  ~2 F; n: e Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
% P4 e9 U2 @: d9 U/ w Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
/ |( g+ o0 B/ \3 d4 [/ v Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
; w0 l6 d6 ?. b, @ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
, r$ Q. i( o8 U- k Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
' ]3 Y9 Z7 Y. o" [ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
/ C' H  j* M' {" M. S Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
8 N1 a) R! J8 f: L Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
) f% B, f' L) o% W5 Y Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
, M, R8 {$ r2 W1 ^* y, _ Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

+ t; v/ E, b+ [" l. S( g5 rThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
