Key Responsibilities & Duties:
: i7 }& K' a. m! ?8 o9 s9 d5 [( V
  _8 o9 E0 e* z' h Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
: O* z$ g3 P2 P Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
1 V, l$ ^! m" P3 ^8 ?1 l Completing required paperwork.
/ A1 T6 ?$ s2 q3 M1 z2 ^3 d Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
" X% a8 |9 B/ w& J  d Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
, S4 T0 @' d1 n Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
$ Q* `4 a1 r' A1 z' a- S- d# a Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
# B6 r2 S$ m2 \$ X( o# e Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
