Key Responsibilities & Duties:

K* e: ?3 Q) V0 g7 F8 R' x7 N1 ? Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.5 W) Q! W5 A: s* Z j1 v
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.+ {/ k2 B( Q ]8 |% m9 w" w% d
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
+ e! _; d n$ M: X6 H Completing required paperwork.2 H0 P' ]8 U! O- z0 `; Q
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.8 @/ v4 z/ N/ J8 w, |$ ~
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.! W/ M5 S. P+ ^" i! [) U6 i
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
0 Q+ ~9 s# n" S& L! s; @ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.7 p2 I1 N6 |" i7 i: P
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.3 Z% c9 c9 S6 N; n: g
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc., [. b. ^+ O' g" }
 Knowledge of community resources.+ \7 z6 Y8 |3 {1 v: J' X, l6 u
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.+ d: x T) H( ?/ ?+ @& w6 E
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. ) k4 I$ |4 H* ^( [5 q
There is a 3-month probationary period. ( l! G& d$ j' c/ R
