 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
3 v6 A6 t4 ]+ v3 r) y2 t: w Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
; f$ R) U# K, {2 o! R9 F Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
/ M% k, c0 C4 Y9 j9 l Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
- P- k9 a/ N& w) F. q Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
+ d1 `, N+ }/ F$ d6 R8 L Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


: d* o( Y" A  f6 O9 VQualifications:
  g: a; Y( h: b2 z2 M
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
2 ]/ t4 A4 Y+ X; w Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
* F. T  u( d/ g/ z; l! T% C( } Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
# J$ T' ?  s. d# z; A# Q8 V7 E Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
% v+ s, z; s& a2 I- k. W/ K" c3 MThere is a 3-month probationary period.
