 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
( w& O: t+ A7 K' l Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
/ ?# P/ A# v2 x2 N3 ?" F& u Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: H; V7 s4 z' m) i4 i4 e Completing required paperwork.5 b- [' ~& a: S
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.0 t8 `) O" u* L8 s% R! Q) S
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures. ^3 {% S# u" n5 C8 S& p, L7 I7 e
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
- C" |5 P$ t; I- i Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.) m e& C1 E5 z) h/ r
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:2 ^7 C% O# d+ u6 _
3 j& o8 D! X. ^5 V# S Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience., q; {3 L) a m6 |3 Y/ j6 }
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
~6 }$ n7 N( `1 L5 e( N Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.- v# P- ]6 o4 F1 T
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.! O2 P7 ?# A4 |" N$ P
 Knowledge of community resources.
2 @4 p ]9 g0 i: c0 J9 P# r Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.3 I7 _5 ^+ {4 Z* n9 Q% v
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; ( {- b ?1 x" M& a6 H/ _
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
