 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
( w& O: t+ A7 K' l Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
/ ?# P/ A# v2 x2 N3 ?" F& u Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: H; V7 s4 z' m) i4 i4 e Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
- C" |5 P$ t; I- i Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
& G/ \, K$ H3 w8 N. q1 Y Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

3 j& o8 D! X. ^5 V# S Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
  ~6 }$ n7 N( `1 L5 e( N Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
2 @4 p  ]9 g0 i: c0 J9 P# r Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.
$ v, a: E( T3 g: F  W$ N0 G
: ^: G% o7 S# G3 fPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
