$ R2 z; J! U& p/ J  Q& W Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
6 Z. ?( y1 ~( \; r) R5 N& |, ^' s Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
2 @* A% t7 t5 t& ^) {0 s Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
: u+ E. p' E4 j8 E Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
# M# a1 w+ N; O7 Q- e Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
9 a6 @" {) W6 a" _ Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
2 [, V6 T9 y& ? Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
# l( M  n0 J  Y7 K% P, m% e9 A. ?/ M Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


! w5 w' x: M) Y6 FQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
% ?0 [* z; K4 k" `3 U4 c Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
& O4 Y7 T9 e: F- p$ J* l9 J  q* F Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
& D6 q* ~0 s3 M. I4 F, [- Y$ ~# y Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
+ \' c& a! w% Ostarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
