Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Key Responsibilities:

) Q+ I+ Z, b% W9 C2 o1 q- iWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
/ |- o; D& V7 V! _, l8 e4 jResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

& u+ k6 j% a) F/ T# O' r( _
8 \% D+ `, d3 {/ B9 ~) g  S8 x, s  `/ iGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
2 `$ U+ U, b+ J6 _) S- }Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
+ }8 }% w) s6 k- ]; o$ z; ]5 aUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
& i  c4 B# {7 R, ^Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
1 H8 H6 O% t3 U+ ACompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
! c. b: i  u+ T4 |/ Z0 t  bAbility to communicate with all levels of management
