An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
, r6 `7 e- m( w! ~" l0 n•        Process research equipment design;
/ O3 t! G6 r1 D; P. y•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
1 Q- k& `5 p4 x- x' |9 Y+ z3 N& o0 x9 T•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
& S, e! D0 Q: T•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
4 H' d! T8 q" N5 n9 K9 |# J) K  h•        Others.

Qualifications:
6 y: c3 Z* Q! M! ^8 Y7 u- e7 ~•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
8 K4 ^" b- z6 X6 @•        Familiar with CAD software;
8 D+ H7 f7 @/ h•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

% ?" s% y9 G- e, ?; X# E* N* U% gSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
