An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
- s- i2 J! s! |# r5 O/ w2 `+ r•        Process research equipment design;
•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
  z) A8 ]; W0 D) y+ o2 y' @( z•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

% O2 X: U; O5 {) ?& v5 wQualifications:
4 `; T7 |; G3 X6 ?- v; {•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
•        Equipment design experience is required;
9 P$ d. ]: W) v6 J9 P, R4 g•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
  g# m# g' |9 Q# e. k4 T/ ]•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
