Major Responsibilities:
5 `% V* Q# D5 E: z1 C• Process research equipment design;
. d& _' I+ ?- r- E! `• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;1 H- N: L3 _8 T6 P
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
8 y4 ~+ \" b x• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
# |1 v9 y, f* H5 N' E4 `• Others.& u/ V9 K0 j% X$ L0 `

Qualifications:7 |& _- y. L1 ]2 \& F( _
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months. 2 `! b u$ V7 K" ~+ }* Q" A
• Equipment design experience is required;
6 q1 Y9 e f @, |0 q# I. o• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;4 l* M) @) V2 G1 K: K/ K7 L) U
• Familiar with CAD software;5 T9 u& n& l: c% B9 v9 M
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;' {. M% d1 `% R& }" E
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
9 j6 @+ u. t V% Y3 {3 }2 JSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term. 0 E; k1 z- m- a4 Z+ G: N1 Q( G' g
