An engineering start-up, which is committed to support the R&D and industrialization of process technologies in North America with expertise and international resources, now accepts applicant for the position of Mechanical Engineer /Specialist through Industry r&D Associates program, Alberta Ingenuity.

Major Responsibilities:
  ~- o9 H% ~; r8 p8 F•        Process research equipment design;
8 g* g- k+ m6 J9 W5 |/ u•        Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
) x$ H4 y* `# m0 p; }9 `- w+ g•        Equipment fabrication guidance;
! @, q# @4 g; G8 Z! d6 x•        Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;
•        Others.

3 z. n9 n7 q6 S5 s& u/ G3 @Qualifications:
•        Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
" S# |. V& I5 M/ T5 s0 F  s& l•        Equipment design experience is required;
•        Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
•        Familiar with CAD software;
% Y, [. ~3 n, \8 o, M/ ^•        Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;
•        Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.

Compensation:
' W# a" C+ d3 v' `7 Q: Z+ [5 W: bSuccessful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
