Major Responsibilities:) | d C0 M N" b0 M
• Process research equipment design;" V" ?) t+ C. u: s, s
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;6 E% V3 Y8 e. M* T2 E6 M
• Equipment fabrication guidance;
2 x; P/ V6 j- a1 W4 n* h• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;9 {( k. V& H2 r: @

Qualifications:# M& B6 V+ @: G; e6 W" s
• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
( n0 h, M$ T: Q% w/ K• Equipment design experience is required;
, y9 z5 b# M$ [, |• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;% O5 M1 ^" b0 a$ W B
• Familiar with CAD software;
# ~6 w- d. g! E• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;+ k" a5 D# N, x. H! Y
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets./ L, n2 |4 s5 _: W; I/ `
; l8 }" a4 `0 T {* T4 e. M% eCompensation:5 s, _$ X1 t) Z, b4 O- M
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
