: a7 @# j' \- s0 A2 OKey Responsibilities & Duties:

# ~; ?2 O* L8 f* r+ w7 _# O8 l! t0 x/ h Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
) [, f8 \: w- \  v4 N Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
) G# o8 X9 x& } Completing required paperwork.
* G- g. G* H7 _ Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
0 D7 ]3 N8 d% y& N7 ~ Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
# b* W- `$ y% P' m; K: w( V% N# F. C: ^ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
5 I, `) @' t+ s3 t4 x, H" D Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
/ F  M- K4 h6 v/ VThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
