Our Employment/Career Counselors provide professional support and assistance to our customers as they work towards meeting their employment needs. Qualifications that we typically look for in our team members include:
+ t, `, g! D9 \7 o4 a* n9 D% c3 CPost-Secondary education in career development, human resources or related fields . T- Q, a$ @$ p
Understanding of, and demonstrated application of, the employment/Career counselling/coaching role
4 g3 o- H% C4 kExperience working with clients experiencing difficulty securing employment and a commitment to motivate and encourage such participants 4 x7 k/ f$ S9 \! S. M+ \+ E
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
8 Z" h5 h. t: e6 X, ?' U, ^Experience in providing information in a group session and/or individually for one to one appointments / y# z) W3 @, k7 z, v
Current knowledge of greater Edmonton labour market
