Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
! f! s$ _+ g% N8 J0 F. }operation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
customers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
: C) ^) W( ]: c* Hthe Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
  t4 x" S* S0 E2 i  ~Customer Service
0 l0 f' s+ K# {# |! {2 [. Z9 O$ U• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
$ ~* V8 C; V/ T• Assist customers find what they are looking for
• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
2 r3 _+ S, x& g& astock
1 p; b# G6 x: i; C2 g• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
looks under 25 years of age
Store Responsibilities
• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
. S) d- o% r3 H$ L• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
/ c1 z2 f5 S- ]4 i• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
0 d, l# {+ E# e* h- ~! ]+ f• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
0 z2 ?* e3 p3 I' v: x• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
• Protect company assets at all times
• Close the store (key holders)
7 n5 r- ^, }' R1 r• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager
Qualifications
• High School graduate
7 y5 M6 y( y( G& C• Criminal record check.
2 j$ l( \" g0 u0 h! j• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
/ Z. W! l. ?2 v) zchanges in strategies
Working Conditions
• Fast paced environment
& p8 q: R# w5 F: y/ |' h8 P• Demanding workload
Physical Requirements
• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
7 u- _* l$ S' W1 |" N8 O• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
( {) ^8 Y7 e8 C  ?& b• Standing for extended periods of time
5 j1 m  Q0 g  p' r& Z• Comfortable climbing ladders
