He began work with our Union in 1981, receiving Inter-provincial Journeyman Electrician status the following year — and in 1988 he also became a Journeyman Boom Truck Operator.

While on the job and with a young family he continued his education in night courses, graduating from the U of A in 2001 with a degree in Human Resources Management. In 2003, following two additional years of study, he was designated a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).

Tim has served 424 in a number of roles:

* Shop Steward

For four years, Tim was our Local’s Dispatcher before becoming Assistant Business Manager in 2002. In 2004 he took over the reins as 424 Business Manager.$ G" v5 k. f1 m

Over the years Tim has represented us well externally as a delegate to a number of labour bodies:& m% A% s+ I% I5 u

Despite his active work life Tim remains a committed family man. He and his wife Dana have two great kids, Daniel and Leah (Tim’s other “child” is a Harley Davison that he doesn’t get nearly enough time to ride). |
