Around 2:25 p.m., Edmonton Fire Rescue received two 911 calls to 50th Street and 67th Avenue. One was reporting a fire, the other reporting that someone had been injured at the same location.5 G. }) n+ M/ H5 v& _8 w0 |

Fire rescue's Tim Wilson tells iNews880 there was a flash fire in a lab where the chemical Toluene is housed.

"The fire took place in a room at this facility that did have some sort of flammable products stored in there," says Wilson, "and somehow, this ignited and caused a fire."

Wilson says fire rescue responded with trucks from three houses because of the flammable chemicals housed in the building.3 f( }, ~: D, e+ Y6 {

"We had eight units on scene, with about 30 firefighters," he says. "The fire was out in just under 45 minutes, and was under control in 15."' L9 a/ H. F o% s: ^6 g
