this multi-service agency. With over 200 staff and an operating budget of $8 million, YWCA

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ED is responsible for development, evolution and . l! `3 d: R2 o9 n8 y

2 P$ h- i5 I9 Y/ K {& w• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of
% Z6 W/ Q1 |7 [5 b& Athe YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by
5 O4 |$ {0 W4 L4 o" i( Rthe Board of Directors;
o( J4 |4 J n$ H• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 5 B7 L c3 }: Z$ [! Y8 W, x
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 3 [2 S g) s* @8 P3 E/ v2 p
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;
3 @; r# C; k9 q1 q# d• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and 1 p8 C- G$ N9 D6 N
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget;
8 H5 E) y# Z% b- O+ B+ D' D& J6 {• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion
4 j! c/ C# ]& Y. ^0 E a) fthe development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; & P8 j9 K) W. Q$ u S
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the 0 \) I/ d2 }8 { Q% f& a
changing needs of the organization and community;
; U$ u5 P5 T! h8 G• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems;
! C7 W5 e! c, Y• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; + i$ }* q6 h" I2 O; x! ~8 g
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring , j \; ]7 @1 R% w! S
the implementation of systems to manage these risks;
& ^" g* x% F0 h$ x+ R1 z& v5 a( c• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal # E. ?* R7 p6 }& o+ I' v) N# {
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED

: q i6 p* F2 g3 j• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical 1 G2 o0 S, e! e" f
practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Professional Designation / Certification

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations;

abilities;
