execution of the YWCA Strategy

( r! h5 I) v$ @: W" ], A• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 8 V0 B8 p; I4 B6 W1 |0 |0 _/ S
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

# O/ E2 Z% Y% Z3 @+ f• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations 6 x! L$ V2 D2 p
including financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to 7 \, k0 p# m' U& g6 p
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities;

objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by

• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 4 U. J* N; e, f3 f0 z2 [
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings; . U& c, B1 ~* K) b6 G; c
• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the
" I4 C- v. l# u- zchanging needs of the organization and community; % Y' [2 I: h" i4 B. [8 e# L
• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue 1 [3 ]9 A6 J* x5 d% H' H" i
commitments;
9 h1 r2 }* E6 Q7 R6 Z: J9 p' e• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 4 I. g, R' P! M) K1 H9 f' w' R3 o/ _
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective / v+ A7 G5 w3 v, V9 l' `/ Z# e! M; u
selection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; ; p4 C7 M- C; C& j9 ]
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed;

• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring 5 S- h9 O6 I4 d
the implementation of systems to manage these risks; , w* o1 n% @5 \# @
• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal 6 F4 ^& } I- S: g% D# n: L# X, _" ]
performance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED ! {: o* u5 p# B: d
the forthcoming year;
' {. u9 m% j# P) [! f• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
/ d( p5 v7 y1 D+ G' W& dpractices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

• Acting as an Ex-Officio member of the Board, all Board Committees and Board Task W# _" ^, O8 [$ A

• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; ! l' Q5 a* C) f
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations, , U! S( y! } Z {" }

• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
