The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

8 {' K" K) U1 N§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers( |+ ]! A1 T: o7 R. u4 H. q, y! d
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution " i7 K) @# M' t$ F0 W* l8 w
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
  W+ |: Q. C& l4 t5 T, s+ M/ j§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
; w* }" o' C- b5 F' \' p: B3 K9 p! b§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
4 P/ f# P5 w, U8 Y§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert8 `$ B/ k  p" K+ J* q& e
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

5 V; D5 T. G# y6 P% ?§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls

Qualifications:
9 j; _3 T2 p; h§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience: h# H' m! k' r& }. ]8 P
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
$ n- x0 o% b3 H* v1 o§ Fundamental commitment to customer service' x2 E6 i! A( K: s# @
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues: N  d( A' l- R) F6 L; k- y  ~
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
% s, C' f5 B* s9 Z, N§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
9 `, l5 i# l, J2 D. \# K; h+ k$ g§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). $ s* T9 D# c9 P$ v3 d' `

§ Manage a stable local IT environment
/ s) W: J" ?- J1 a§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
  w3 t  x! g, T0 ?' M$ H) r1 n§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support
0 ^9 c5 \  M8 J§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives# L- P7 ?% A! ~- R  R: _
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports* c6 u: l# v' m' t; G9 {
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
  h4 i/ l3 f# K! C§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
) ?. \/ y" M# h" c4 Q§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times9 B' z& y0 K4 I. u- o& d
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access1 f' Z( s  W9 \  [
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
, U. z, i1 j) M1 c8 @0 u- F  ~# _, d§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan4 e+ w! C6 K1 L. R9 C
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk: B# F6 Y8 K* {
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert5 u2 @, ^) W3 k1 L/ e+ [9 g! {, ]9 J
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management4 \0 z$ ]+ Q8 a- Q& N
§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
6 T: j9 L% ^+ `1 \4 f§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT. i1 M/ F  `5 O; U# L4 H$ ^! s8 j5 N
§ Coordinate and support end user training

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
