5 Z" j2 f+ q0 W- I) mThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.+ t5 Z7 {6 S7 f @: `

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers' F; h0 O! |4 F
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution

$ r; u6 k3 h H+ v, D6 \§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times& t6 p& P# Y1 ~) Y' P
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
) o0 i$ z0 b! b0 G§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert [! r% t% `8 {. x1 G: c' }. F3 A
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties6 E( L N# m' \5 Q4 ~ X

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience1 i( J5 k7 q+ l O3 }: O

§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues

§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
M. t% {* m% {4 n§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
+ s$ k& j, y; _3 T8 A: F- m. i0 ^§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
5 f5 s2 J' ^+ j§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
) e1 J* u& x9 C) \§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
4 J/ \) a4 {# J9 }1 M( r. ~§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
