诸位大侠，是不是准备到美国买汽车？特别是豪华汽车？
加元越来越强，一旦同美元持平，或者超过美元，到美国买车就非常划算。

现在有一些公司代理办理过关手续，这样车主连海关都不用去，公司代理会把一切办好，把车开到你家。

有谁准备到美国买汽车? 大家可以一起交流，交流！！！

Hi #5, It depends on what car you want. I imported a Toyota whose balance was covered across Canada and continental US.
Hi #6: You will import the car in the border and pay the federal tax in the border and provincial tax while you plate the car. ( In AB, you even don't have to pay provincial tax..a big saving.)

大哥，就算是美加1比1了，也不划算的。

美国买的车进关就要收19%的税+卖车的时候非加拿大车又要-几千刀 = 不划算。

where u got the info about the 19% tax...

the cost will be the price in USD x ex. rate x1.05(5% gst) x1.061(if the car is not made in North america) +$100 a/c fee + ~$200 riv fee + the transportation

Some cars with big engine might have to pay green levy fee which varies according to the fuel consumption

I imported three cars during last a few years. It saves more when u buy more expensive cars.

美国买车交7%的税，+汇率差1.05，+进加拿大海关交13%，

举个例子，BMW X6顶配，美国官方网站 79075*1.07*1.05*1.13= 88840刀 +改米表+day time light+卖的时候少卖几千刀

加拿大官方网站顶配，91400*1.05=95970刀

结论=不值

Your Calculation is way off....

first u dont pay tax for export in the States
second 5%gst +6.1%duty is what u pay at the border
x6 might not be a good deal but for x5 u saved 6.1% duty coz it is assembled in US (VIN starts with 1). you dont have to change odometer coz it's got km/h inside and DTRL is just a button on bmw. I had a 328i imported before....

加拿大和美国有free duty agreement，一般的比较新的家用车没有关税；不过车子是有两个地方需要注意，一个是air bag需要法语注释，还有就是需要automatic daytime light.我买的是新车，这两个部分都不用改，去canadian tire让人家看了看，人家就免费给我出了个证明。我的车子就没事了，然后就去上了个牌。

在本地车行卖车的兄弟很可能不希望看到大家到美国买车，嘿嘿嘿。

我最近花了些时间，对比了一下VOLVO XC90 VOLVO加拿大和VOLVO美国的价钱。
其实很简单的，汽车网站有BUILD 和 PRICE功能，点击几下，结果就出来了。
Volvo Canada
XC90，3.2 AWD，R-DESIGN， BASE MSRP $61995 + Freight $1715 + accessories $1895= $65605
Volvo USA
XC90，3.2 AWD，R-DESIGN， BASE MSRP $41500 + Freight $850 + option $3000 = $45000

在美国，买车可能花更多的钱在OPTION上面。在加拿大，车行在运费和小选项上收费很高，这是车行主要的收入之一。比如，美国买车可能要多花3000刀，加上各种手续费，过关，改装等等费用4000刀。成本在$52000左右。GST不在计算内，无论哪里买车，GST是一定要出的。
也就是说，在美国买车，XC90，3.2，AWD， R-DESIGN比在加拿大便宜$13000.

$13000, 足够一家人到夏威夷度假两次了。为什么一定把这笔钱扔给车行老板呢？

我还会对比ACURA MDX， LEXUS RX350。

另外说一句，VOLVO加拿大正在促销，XC90可以优惠$6000。即使美国没有任何优惠，在美国买车可以节约$7000到$10000。

it is very possible that usa navigation package is higher than canada's because it has navigation system.

The information is transparent to everyone. You can find it in Lexus websites.

no duty. gst 5%. warranty is honored in Canada.

It is really easy to compare Acura MDX because TECH package is almost a standard.

It is expected to save about $8000 - $9000 should you decide to buy from USA.

他们能不能成功，关键看买车的人和加元走向。现在，加元对美元一比一。
如果加元对美元1.1比1，很可能他们能够成功。

BMW X5 is a very good family car too.
US msrp price is $47600, while Canada msrp price is $58800.
X5 is manufactured in north america, duty free.

Again, packages are the same in US and Canada. US car dealer would try very hard to sell more packages; while Canada BMW only offer limited packages but add destination, accessories, etc.

Car dealer always try to make good amount of money out of their cars. It is up to the consumer to make smart move to save some money.

Today, I had some time, so I called BMW North America Customer Service, BMW Canada Customer Service. They told me in order to get recall document, I must go through Canadian local BMW Dealers.
Therefore, I called BMW a few dealers. I was frustrated by them. I left messages telling them I wanted to have quote regarding recall document, modifications, etc. But no one phoned me back.
Finally, a nice girl in Calgary BMW gave me some info, modifications + recall document + GST = about $3300. It is less than the price Winnepeg importing agent gave me one month ago.
Anyway, CAD now worths more than USD.
It really makes sense to buy from US, although BMW is trying to protect their Canadian Car Dealers by setup barrier. I have choice not buy BMW.
