CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

6 D2 @. ]. E; d' uNo one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.1 K0 a( w; \: p, F4 u* S* G8 V

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.

2 P& d* ]) O" V" ?) L; ?) |Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.
