, |3 _+ t6 [1 N, ~) JAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
1 y3 J4 a7 s( o9 OWorks co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
- n* T* b5 X9 R# uMaintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
4 r% L. u) o+ K( D$ ZMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
( E% N& O; j8 Q$ z. r! ?Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
; F/ R/ V5 E, m2 j5 QQualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
Computer skills an asset.
7 ~% d4 ~6 p* c: T8 vAn energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
