Responsibilities
* w. E+ ~, `4 I6 U+ }Assists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
) w, y( G( U. C2 J/ }( DWorks co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
* x) G9 [" @# `. ]Maintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
+ e3 \6 U& ^# P' nParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
2 Z9 Z6 J8 ~9 oQualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
& \( n# x  J; o! ]$ g4 ]( VComputer skills an asset.
& t% k+ q2 n& |, s6 fAn energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
Proficiency in a second language is an asset.
