Responsibilities
: b+ V4 B0 y& o7 R* ~; d9 dAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
Works co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
" c8 H/ w6 X6 U" b* iMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
) h5 |6 x& s) c/ f/ w8 uIs knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
. i: p- P3 B$ [& K: TParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
Computer skills an asset.
