最近教公司的一个美女普通话。
今天，我教她“美女”.
她问是什么意思

她说：“is it kind of sarcastic."
我说："what does it mean?"

如果你说她 blond 的话，就有点 sarcastic 了。

ironic 还可以形容一个situation， 比如：al gore is portrayed as a front line fighter for environmental issues, ironically he owns one of the most gas consuming cars in the world. (好容易让我编出这么个例句来！）
sarcastic 有更多感情色彩，有主观上的一种伤害，攻击的意愿，是坏的intention

还拿如花的例子说，这个情景对话两个词都能用到：
如花： hi 美女
  @# u8 Q, c4 _6 ^' T. P- i" Q美女： are you being sarcastic？
如花： i swear， i mean it， you are one of the most beautiful girls i‘ve even seen！
美女： thanks！ ironically i was just told by my brother：if you are not pretty，better be polite。

6 _( Q4 Z7 \/ N* Y- A7 oironic是两个情形之间的矛盾关系。比如“竹帘家照片上神采奕奕”和“实际上很劳累”的对比关系。比如“昨天领导还讲话”，“今天已经被革职”。

sarcastic是对某一事物的批评性的讽刺。比如“叫我美女是恶心我呢吧？”“才贪1000万，太廉洁了！”
