Position: Project Coordinator, Smart Choices.

# M9 j+ o( R. R5 R( w# m-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
/ x# t& d  t" `2 T, A-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
  A- {# a7 m7 v- D" O; G-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

' ~+ ]/ M: ]9 ~' c
Key Qualifications:
' [/ }4 ^- H- \# |5 [" k-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
* A8 b$ ]! ~1 R4 y5 k$ e' I8 d* g-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
: r9 L0 r" S! g( n  h! {& V-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

) C7 l, e+ `2 ]$ C* W8 R$ A-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
4 d0 ^4 V8 K5 q8 c6 K3 H-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
