Responsibilities:
1 |2 g/ L2 {, W- k( d4 A1 q- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
1 h, \9 g# Z- m) e- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
3 a' Y# S& {6 w: X" W5 j- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
' y$ D3 Z8 N7 z6 y$ ]- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs$ h' |% E0 k3 R r. r
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

5 @$ p5 Y, m: F0 B- d+ z( OKey Qualifications:
) L. U3 m2 Y3 t# {. }- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences. Z) j- [3 K2 [$ _" ~
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement9 o7 P; P( }7 ]9 Q
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others1 {# j* z( Z0 L4 b% G
- Experience doing program development
5 I4 {( o B! w9 j- Strong organizational and coordination skills: N8 m( t' S$ \2 D7 ?5 P9 s
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
( |' s& `" K c/ M+ X( n/ `- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
* N( E# F( x: m3 b a* k- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license* i, H* A+ v( }: H; G# I
