Responsibilities:
# s. D/ [) j s a* D- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
' A/ X3 L% g' z {4 w- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
+ x: b# O6 p* }% ?- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups1 T& v/ K4 I$ V5 j0 ]9 @. ^
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
7 L( B# A9 a- I9 p1 ?+ }5 U- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:" c- \* L7 @, Z8 f% u
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
3 m p0 \' N' g- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement" U6 Q; V+ I0 p
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others; a( W' |, M/ x& L6 t0 y% G5 b
- Experience doing program development
5 K! t* m8 Z x) _, {9 N- Strong organizational and coordination skills+ T* W; W2 J& _$ V
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
9 E: _* C. [" c9 r# \# Z8 \" j- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset6 l- n& O* D- M
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
