Responsibilities:
5 k4 D- Q4 |0 t- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth0 d; u! c) L2 Y: x, O) q: g: Q) L
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling1 ]# |3 S0 m( Y: G% @3 [5 f- l
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
8 I9 @2 `: G0 E+ q. o# w1 X9 a- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
( ^7 o/ t. ]) L O/ D* d- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health- A/ q4 D$ I( K- G/ _" b7 C' f

Key Qualifications:6 `- F. S* L& b: B6 w, w4 P3 x
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
7 @9 N5 }: A: F3 }4 }$ p1 i+ j6 y( r; _- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
# n8 Q5 W1 c/ o& ]: A/ j- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
6 G( Q" U3 u) t: E8 c0 e- [% N- Experience doing program development
3 M" a n t, e8 Y8 q: q- Strong organizational and coordination skills( [4 E( d) o3 u* k6 q
- Self-directed and able to take initiative
; S0 ?) z4 n, ]- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset/ L1 F; q# v& c* e
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
