Position Overview  
6 n  K5 d8 v: R* Q The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).

3 z1 n% D3 _6 t  h. X, N" L -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
" I+ b7 w% Q  x; O) ~+ x" e6 }0 @-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;

Education/Experience  
/ B+ G" I, u) f/ z1 E# V - Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
9 @) A1 b2 K; G- H3 X8 [( ^2 H! h' a-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
" @& ]% P: C6 q-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
