2 D* @: r6 m! e# Z# e: ]! B8 nTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
) y/ X8 v* Q3 L. A24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
) F& n. E, |2 @) T" ?All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
$ O  P( Q! B5 Z+ Z) e* R0 x•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
  ~. q  \. M- V' ^0 s" c* g•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
. z5 o& w: f7 @& D0 ?5 u& N•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
, l% i" R2 O  ^8 V4 }9 i9 q•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
; s9 W2 g" T0 c& }•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
1 F* D: o: M# _& D•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
: @& w; r" C* k% S6 o, f: I•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
: k0 U$ u" e' p# k1 a•Lack access to professional networks
( O5 [# V3 p3 @3 z$ G•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

: ^  W2 ]' g6 v: m, T5 h  C3 zThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
