" r8 l8 x( y' u& @3 d: G2 O7 A4 _/ ^This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
$ A% [+ I9 F: X) w! V8 Z4 I•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
8 A% C9 j6 ]  J4 q; |) R- b, \•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
, j6 a" Q9 d; h: v•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
- f4 `: S4 ?- B7 N•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
2 t: K1 i! i0 K•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
9 L2 E# D" {$ f•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
5 U: w3 t9 V  C3 V* CThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
