THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
  |/ c" K& D2 J$ uThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
4 B, b5 A0 `- r: f" b. V" a. ]Eligibility Criteria
3 s1 H+ O% V5 q2 G6 DAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
  T/ c8 L& C! Y. l% u•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
" L8 u8 D1 {( W9 G9 I8 z% K2 r•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
$ O' Q  T+ {/ {5 i•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
+ z/ D( l  Z# B  V( M5 O•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
, q" ?, l( s1 V•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
( [" m. E5 G0 O" B% h•Lack access to professional networks
! t2 a; M: C# k3 H•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
