' |" r9 z$ _) Y6 O9 T T* n% NThe Area Team Leader for the 2009 Christmas Kettle Campaign is a short term, contract worker that plays an integral role in The Salvation Army’s Public Relations and Development Department in Edmonton. Individuals are responsible for the general oversight of multiple Christmas Kettles in one geographic area. This includes recruiting, scheduling, and supervising volunteers; liaising with location contacts; and working as a team with the City Coordinator and Assistant City Coordinator.( Y6 n% X9 M a3 u. Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Recruit and schedule volunteers in a designated area" a H% Z" I5 I1 }7 n

§ Liaise daily with team members and businesses

* Preference will be given to those graduated from or currently enrolled in Volunteer Management, 1 D) x( M7 G& q4 o- A
* Business Administration, or Human Resources. Relevant experience will be considered.
( E, @* z& Q; ^9 w * Excellent communication and organizational skills. ]9 k" X1 E3 Z. q6 _
* Capable of supervising and coaching volunteers and employees5 S8 y0 m: f% }+ D2 t
* Can work well individually and as a team player

* Capacity to retain large amounts of information
