CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.- `: a! y1 r% ^$ v0 \* K% J7 ~& e

' N- q Y8 F& c; R' x+ n• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.: O6 l% |* n7 d* t) p6 J* r

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

• Manage mail outs for fund development or education purposes with support of Program Managers.; f; `% W+ \$ f- c

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.3 j1 p6 Y, K: e0 G: {, Z

• Support the promotion of CFCA events in Alberta through online and print publicity resources.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

% l. w) c* K3 k4 V3 t. P• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.& R" X0 N/ [) [$ J9 o

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

* c5 w9 ]- m! b! E2 ?% ZSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.# s5 U8 n" K2 B.
