E& P" EChange for Children is looking for a Program and Administrative Assistant who is highly motivated, has excellent ability to work independently, effectively prioritize tasks, be able to manage a flexible work plan and take direction from Program Managers to ensure timely and consistent administrative and program support to our vibrant organization.

CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.; s5 r) x" \9 W6 Q/ @+ n5 \2 J# T

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.0 b& W/ m0 o) S. t, E+ a+ o1 r
) `8 q0 R& I9 H5 T* C* u6 m• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.1 h2 J/ w9 Y f% G q7 Y

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.8 t0 m Z1 Q. r1 h

) k. |; Y! j+ t5 @7 F. R• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.

Fund Development

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts. D- C, K6 w. b' ^$ o7 r
: ]- e# S$ U; L# j8 ^+ ?• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

• Assist in administrative tasks related to donor recognition and event reconciliation as required.

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.9 R* T. i* o& N$ o
