Police arrest two men after complaint of smelly truck carrying 1,500 pot plants

* w! t0 o5 G) yEDMONTON - Two men are facing charges after Edmonton police pulled over a truck filled with freshly cut marijuana plants.

7 o- ~: Y9 D5 U# N% x- I* SPolice say they got a tip Thursday night from a citizen who told them he'd been driving behind a cube van that was giving off a strong odour of marijuana.

8 H9 H% G' w) }9 x: U) BOfficers who responded to the call said they also smelled the pot plants about half a block before they pulled over the van.

Police say there were up to 1,500 mature marijuana plants tied in bundles inside the van.

8 K: x1 Q9 o( t$ QRoughly 400 kilograms of pot was taken from the vehicle and the driver and a passenger were arrested without incident.
