Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: ; c w2 r1 m- Z+ C

; _3 y Z- h2 u1 JPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
$ T, p, ~( E* I( [· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
& @; x+ P v' [1 T l. k, d( P) e' @· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist . y/ ]& x" d1 ?
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the + O6 Q! |0 T0 R' t4 R
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure - A5 u" Q' B+ b- b. C
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. ' |* r. H( g' k f; o& b
· Attend and manage Special Events J5 j. ]0 R7 ?; p
· Attend and take minutes for Special Events Committee

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
6 |5 A) G- A; H& D# T7 PAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
$ e+ r* W0 [1 \) O0 [5 y· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions 0 r9 [+ x/ _% y
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers % r t7 @6 Y+ x# S U
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
) z, S9 j; H6 o( x9 [· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 9 h4 e0 n9 g5 v
· Complete program administration, statistics and records 8 R2 ` [& v- ^3 S. l1 J: ^! B: r2 Q

Qualifications: + {: h, O4 e4 \
· Completion of 12th/ K ]# l* d# u% s A
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
- R& ?! X; i! N+ F/ zAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. - N9 z+ @" H( N$ i O/ T; G
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
8 t8 @; \* P- f- R5 b1 `1 Hexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
7 A: o, ^& F# r3 R9 ]· Experience working with and managing volunteers
( t$ `% L, w% l" G9 X- @· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors - q; g, _& s1 A1 {
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 5 d w3 I$ i S s) E
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
