* Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory% T* l$ L9 F+ |! X
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr) O! O0 `; `" \
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps5 p! p/ p! r9 X6 V" Y6 h' m! D
* Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations. G$ z; t4 W9 @0 c" Q% Y+ T+ n
* Trains users on the mass spectrometer and reduction calculations

* Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation8 _( J7 S! t3 G* g- J6 C7 M
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers% x4 J% _" N! H' [) M+ b
* WHMIS training' ]$ S8 k4 J; F7 r" E
* Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset7 W! z% @5 }! B `, d4 `. N, `
