请教:如何选购奶酪和牛油

超市里有许多品牌的奶酪和牛油,请问如何选购?怎样吃比较好?

说说英文名吧,奶酪是不是cheese?如果是的话,有几种吃法一是cheese片,做三明治时,夹在面包里吃,有一种是细条状的,可作比萨,还有一种是粉状的可把它加些开水煮成糊状然后浇在烤好的土豆上,也可把cheese粉散在煮熟的意大利通心粉上吃。还有一种小孩喜欢吃的(不到)20公分长的cheese棒,一包里有很多根,就当零食吃。如果你买回的是立方体或长方体的话,就自己动手切成需要的形状,好象有专门的工具卖,其实中国人聪明,就用菜刀也能解决问题。至于黄色与白色的区别我不太清楚。请其他同学补充。' H4 ]7 i6 H0 n* u' m
$ ]. T/ ^! p" b. v1 w/ J. C- e
你说牛油是哪一种呀,在国内用于起火锅底料。这里是不是butter?如果是的话,分两种,一种叫butter(块状),一种叫margarine(塑料碗装的)就是人造黄油。在洋人的食谱里常用到,至于中国用法,据说butter可以用来作馒头,成为奶油馒头,margarine嘛,烤面包时用,可用面包机烤好切片面包后,再直接涂上,也可涂上后,用烤箱烤几钟。后者好象更好吃些,小心发胖!!

至于选什么牌子,我的经验是凭主妇的直觉。

There are many kinds of cheese( check the link) for different purposes but most Chinese can only handle a few of them:3 f  [- ?: ?$ L3 N: R8 [- w( U

Cheddar or American cheese (yellow or white): for code sandwich, cubed small chunk of snack, burger or cheesy casserole (baking), the color doesn’t decide the flavor. The cover of the cheese should say: sharp; mild, which refer to the degree of the flavor.7 p- S2 E* H* F  r  Y

+ O1 ~, g# L9 L* `: N% q/ k  r6 |Mozzarella cheese (white, no yellow color): for pizza or Italian cooking

: M) W' g) F6 R9 d* D/ b8 u' a(Those are the cheese I can handle but many others I tried but no way to enjoy,  like the following: )

Swiss cheese (white, with holes): mostly for hot sandwich* K' Z) q. }& v4 h7 d! Z

Parmesan cheese (almost like powder): on top of dishes, mostly pasta.

Butter is a lot simpler:
0 G' c. V/ I7 B- o5 v: u4 t* d9 ~* T( m0 D# X4 v
Butter stick (regular or light): 1. for cooking (just like the oil we use) or baking (e.g. bread, cake, or casserole), 2. you can also use it for bread spread
: K0 M" @" r$ @7 w" L, }Margarine( soft butter): mainly or spread, on bread, corn… 2 G$ f: i) p8 r- @- t  q7 L

Cream cheese: also for spread, mostly on bagels; sometimes used for some bakery too
